I originally booked a 10' van at the UHaul location in Haliburton as I live in Haliburton. The booking was completed on June 12th for a July 16th pickup. Then on July 2nd I texted them to upgrade the truck to a 15' truck. That's when I was told that the Haliburton location is not operational and I would have to go to Kinmount to pickup the truck. Then I was told Kinmount is not available and I have to go to Bobcaygeon to pickup the truck. So I have 2 problems with this. First, I was not contacted about the location change. Would I ever be made aware of the situation if I didn't call to upgrade the truck? Second, due to the location change from my original booking, I have to pay an extra 146 kms worth of mileage charges. Other problems: 1) the 24/7 pick up app didn't work. The system didn't release the truck to me as it supposed to. 2) the app didn't collect the right information to allow the pick up to happen. Apparently the app needed the driver license that it never asked for when I was in the system setting up the pickup. 3) the pickup was delayed by over an hour. 4) the truck had no gas in it when it was picked up. We had to put gas in right the way. 5) the truck drove very rough. My driver is a professional truck driver so I trust his feedback. Things that went well: 1) the ladies in the Bobcaygeon office were very helpful with setting up the re-booking, and facilitating the pickup when the online system failed. I was not offered any compensation for the problems. Not impressed with UHaul overall.

Gary VLocation is perfect and reliable for booking. The only downfall was the mobile pickup lock not working properly. There has to be a better way of doing this.
MIke FTruck was spotless. The only thing was that the gas tank was almost empty. My move was crazy close though, and there is a gas station right across the street, so not an issue. Both ladies I dealt with were very helpful. Much appreciated!
