To be fair, I rented the vehicle three or four days, following the large snow and ice storm. However, if the facility is going to rent vehicles during that time, they should make appropriate accommodations for the customer. The parking lot was not cleared and was a frozen sheet of ice with a small layer of snow. Additionally, when I got to the store, the clerk advised me she was unable to get into the vehicle, which was covered in 1 inch of ice or more. She proceeded to tell me that she wasn’t sure if the vehicle would even start. So, I spent the next 45 minutes chipping away at the ice so that I could get into the vehicle safely and then be able to see out of the vehicle. Luckily, it started. It then took me another 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot. I had to make a running start just to get up the ice covered incline onto the main road, and it took me more than several attempts. It was literally unsafe, and I had concerns about the vehicle, a 26 footer, sliding back down the incline and into the facilities building. I also paid for the use of the vehicle covering to complete days. I actually pick the vehicle up on Thursday morning and returned it Thursday night, but was unclear about the process for returning. I dropped the keys in the key box and then discovered I was supposed to process the return online which required some information from within the cab that I could not get back into because I had dropped the keys. There were no instructions on how to return the vehicle. Furthermore, the facility remained closed due to the employees not being able to get into the facility… I’m assuming. Therefore, I could not call or contact anyone about the early return and was charged for the full rental. I only received a final receipt of the rental yesterday. I made repeated attempts to contact someone at the body tan location with no answer and no way to leave a message. So, I could not make arrangements to be credited for the time that I did not use the vehicle. Again, I understand it was all complicated due to the weather at the time of the rental, but if they are going to continue renting vehicles, they should make accommodations for renters. The liability alone of deicing the vehicle and walking across the parking lot should be a great concern to not only the renting establishment, but to U-Haul as well. I did check that I would recommend this location to others because it is the only game in town. As such, they should take more care to accommodate customers and their safety.

TRENT CI have dropped off at this location numerous times since it is located within 30 minutes of my house. The woman that works, there is professional and kind. She helped me unhook the trailer. I was very thankful that she knew what to do to get it unhooked from my truck. This location is very accessible and I recommend it highly.
