Such a terrible experience, not only did they try to defraud me. Claiming, I use the truck that I immediately returned with in15 min, I was told I would receive a email after 45 min once the account is closed. Looking at the close out ticket he took that time so it may seem I had the truck much longer than I did. The vendor never came outside to check the truck. I immediately call roadside that was even worse speaking with a Megan supervisor, that inform me I had to stay with the truck at the office until they sent someone which could take up to an hour and a half. Even though she knew the vendor had the keys and the truck had been returned. This location is horrible for customer service also equipment maintenance and should be deleted from servicing the community and as for Megan She did not show me the qualifications of a manager. Only Shannon within customer service had the know how and the understanding with the ability to start the process of resolving my dispute

He didn’t mention if I needed a dolly or not, there wasn’t one on the truck I assumed it would have one on the truck other than that everything went well
Leitha WThis review is for the overall UHAUL process and delay, not specifically for Johns Hardware. We reserved a truck many weeks in advance for pickup at 7pm 5/30, near Midway airport. We chose the location (not Johns) since that's where we were flying in and we wanted the truck in hand for an early start Saturdy morning. We were called Thursday 5/29 and notified of a change in location to Johns Hardware. We asked about late pickup via remote access and assured that this was available. But it turns out that information was incorrect. Johns Hardware was closed and there was no paperwork processed for after hours pickup with keys. Saturday morning we took a ride share (Lyft) to Johns and arrived prompty at 9am, but there were several people already in line picking up and the process was slow. After we got our truck and paperwork, the information was wrong, so we had to go back into the shop to get the paperwork corrected. All these delays made it so we couldn't start our actual move until closer to 10am Saturday. Very unfortunate. Hopefully in the future when the pickup location is changed by UHAUL for advanced RESERVATIONS, the needs of the initial order will be assured to be accommodated. We also reserved moving blankets which were not available, so we had to do without. The truck was clean and well maintained. I recommended this location since the redirect from UHAUL was the main problem. At Johns we saw folks without a reservation get processed before us and the couple before us (without a reservation) ended up with the last of the moving blankets, so Johns obviously didn't set aside the moving blankets for our reservation, even though that information should have been processed Thursday when the change of location occurred. :(

Jerome HTruck maintenance is important, the truck I used had transmission issues. Test drive your trucks prior to renting it.
