This was the worst rental experience of my life. U-Haul relies too much on technology. App repeatedly glitched and re-started rental process from the beginning. Took 40 mins and a call to customer service to get my rental to work. Person on site was of no help, which makes no sense. No success Using the app, using the online page (both of which should not be necessary when renting in person at a location). Finally get the keys and then when I'm finally ready to go after this experience equivalent to getting teeth pulled, I am forced to take pictures of the truck before being able to go. THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VEHICLE MAINTAINERS. The customer should not be forced to do your job for you. Then as I return the rental, instead of the simple process of dropping a key off as it used to be in the past, I am forced to once again take pictures throughout the vehicle like I'm documenting a crime scene. And then when I submit everything that should have been the responsibility of the rental company in the first place, the app glitches again and restarts the process. I am forced to take pictures again IN POURING RAIN at 8pm in a dark closed business parking lot on my own. This is a risk to safety and should not be the responsibility of the customer. I am forced to call customer service once more to complete the rental after the app fails to work correctly again, wherein I'm informed that I can just drop the keys off in the box and go... WHY couldn't I just do that in the first place then? This is not an exaggeration, this was the absolute worst rental experience of my life, for anything. I will absolutely never be using U-Haul again. I will be recommending to anyone that listens to never use U-Haul. I believe I should be financially compensated for what I had to go through for what used to be a simple process that they've turned into an absolute nightmare. The customer should not be forced to do the work of an employee. And if I AM going to do all you work for you, I want my pay. I want to stress that this was entirely at the hands of U-Haul and not the fault of the rental center.

MICHAEL BLast week, I reserved a pickup truck for Oct .1 U haul changed the site 3 times without informing me. I spent 2 hours on the street trying to find out where the pickup was, I spent almost an hour trying to reach customer service, and was never able to get through. It took almost 2 confusing hours on the street to locate a truck . This is totally unacceptable. I should be compensated for such horrible service.
