I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I reserved a 20-foot truck in Amity, but my reservation was moved to Dallas without my consent because the truck I reserved was unavailable. U-Haul’s response was essentially that changes can happen and no compensation would be provided. This change cost me an additional $63.60 in out-of-pocket expenses due to approximately 40 extra miles of travel at $1.59 per mile, plus at least three additional gallons of fuel at $4.59 per gallon. Customers should not have to absorb additional costs when U-Haul cannot provide the equipment at the reserved location. The pickup experience at this location was also frustrating. The mobile app repeatedly malfunctioned, and staff stated they could not assist me. Additionally, the key lockbox was damaged and had a screw protruding inside it that staff appeared to already know about. The key holder broke while I was retrieving the key, and I scratched my hand in the process. I understand that inventory can change, but moving reservations without meaningful accommodation, requiring customers to pay additional costs, and having unresolved safety and equipment issues at pickup is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location or this experience to others.

we had to sweep it out before we could use it because it was filthy in side it was on the Lowe side of empty when we picked it up

Monte CPick up was fine. My phone was not able to access the app to take pics but I stored trailer condition pics on my phone for future reference
Donald BCustomer was great. Knocked some off my bill because I overfilled w/ gas. The oversize key "fob" got stuck in the lockbox and it broke getting it out. And the app is horrible, horrible, horrible. Wouldn't upload pictures, had to restart the process multiple times. I'm not holding that against the location, though. They were fine.
