The truck we rented had a bad exhaust leak resulting in having to drive with the windows down the entirety of our trip. After drop off there was a major issue with charges on my credit card, the store does not answer their phone. After going into the store as soon as I saw the charges the lady who helped me was also the originally lady who did my rental the day before, she was very confused when I showed her my receipt and the charges that did not match at all which I could understand but the Second Lady to get involved at this location was a little more aggressive about the situation telling me to call the 1800 U-HAUL number and that there is nothing they can do about it as they don’t charge the cards and that it wasn’t their fault and that was all she told me. Mind you I was not rude at any time during this transaction just very confused. I left very dissatisfied and called the 1800 U-HAUL number after arriving back home to which they were very apologetic and in detail explained why the charge had been changed and moved to a different card entirely and said this happens daily at small neighborhood stores. I told him I appreciated him taking the time to actually explain this to me. The company really should give the smaller location neighborhood stores a little more training on how to handle these situations a little better. again very nice about it. He appealed the original charges for me which were reversed within the same week. I will not rent another unit from this store nor any other small neighborhood store in the future.
