My son drove an hour to pick up the 10’ truck that was guaranteed in writing, only to see it leaving the lot when he arrived. The agent had rented it to someone else, denied the guarantee, and tried to upsell us to a 15’ truck. We had to meet our son in Winnemucca due to high winds, and even with experienced uhaul drivers, the truck was nearly blown off the road several times due to the truck being mostly empty. The agent promised extra miles and a discount but added only 10 miles and no discount. He was supposed to go through Sacramento for safety reasons, but we had to meet him instead because we didn’t have enough miles and the agent wouldn’t work with us and help meet our needs. Medford OR location said Eagle Mountain would contact me within 24–48 hours, but they never did. Instead, I received an email with an unaddressed $50 refund. This experience was absolutely horrible with the Eagle Mountain location, especially since all my years of utilizing Uhaul I have never had a problem.
