U-HAUL must institute a policy to penalize renters if the van is not returned on time by the end of the rental day. If the Manager had not stepped in and contacted the renter we would not have had our van to move on the scheduled day. We were delayed by an hour waiting for the prior person to return the van. $500 penalty would return that van on EVERY TIME. In speaking with others this has become a normal habit of renters to not honor their commitment and invade on other renters reservations. Gives U-HAUL a black eye.
