As for the pick up facility and the equipment I had no issues. In fact the employee who handled the pickup tried to help but simply could not produce something they did not have. As for the rest of the experience, I did have problems. The reservation task was very difficult in execution. I was able to make the reservation for the truck and 1 appliance dolly and 1 utility dolly. I confirmed the reservation on the app and on the day prior to the pickup. I called the regional scheduling # provided to ensure the equipment was physically present at the selected pickup site and was assured the equipment was there. ( I had made the same equipment and location pickup a week prior only to have the pickup location changed the day before the scheduled pickup. The issue was the pickup location and the location of the goods being moved is on an island, and the cost to ferry the equipment was twice the cost of the rental & the reason I waited for the required equipment to be on the Island already to avoid the ferry costs. I did not receive a call, only a text which I misread. Fortunately I was able to cancel the ferry & U-Haul reservation avoiding fees ) When I arrived at the pick up location the agent advised that they did not have the appliance dolly, and there was no way for them to provide me with one. I asked to have a furniture dolly added. I planned this move in advance and in evaluating our abilities, the appliance dolly was an absolute requirement to move the appliances I intended to transport. (another customer waiting for the agent advised that I could rent one from a local rental company and provided the address) When I returned the truck and the dollies to the drop off location, the agent was unaware of the furniture dolly and the receipt I was able to view online in the "app" did not show the dolly and I was unable to find any reference to it. (I am waiting on a verification of charges from the credit company I used, but as of now I am not sure what, if anything I was charged) I would also note that the fuel gauge was wildly inaccurate The noted amount on pickup was 7/8th of a tank I figured that if I filled the tank to full it I would have enough to ensure 7/8ths at drop off. The nozzle auto shut off when the tank was full. When I checked the fuel gauge it showed the needle at 1/4 tank past the full mark!! My fault but I did no anticipate a faulty gauge and no info was provided (The closest fuel station was several miles from the drop off location which is why I was willing to go an 1/8th over to ensue I met the return requirement.) The good part of this trip was that the truck and dollies performed flawlessly. The dollies were in excellent condition and operated fully. The truck was excellent! It was fully loaded (volume more than weight, the load was mostly household furniture ) but it drove and rode very nicely no struggling on hills, able to maintain a steady speed and minimal bouncing and the brakes worked well. All the lights, radio, heater, etc worked and were well marked.

Quite upsetting to rent a dirty truck, report it as such, having moved only clean dry items, i was then charged $25 cleaning fee for someone else’s mess. Third uhaul rwntal experience in a month, and the worst one.
Robert BLocation was overwhelmed. U haul needs more capacity at this location! Personal were polite but overwhelmed.

LEWIS DI had trouble completing the return on the app...it looked like it did go through but I wasn't sure. Otherwise, everything was really easy and useful, especially the people at Post San Juan.
