Drove nearly 400 miles and hopped on a ferry only to find out the 26 foot truck I had reserved was unavailable and they only had a 20 foot truck. Needing more room, I had to get on yet another ferry and go to a different island to pick up a trailer. All said and done, 7 hours round trip and over $500 in additional expenses. The weekend was supposed to be one day of packing, and then spending the rest of the time with family before saying our farewells. Instead, the entire time was spent scrambling to fix the issue so we would not miss our reservation to leave the island.

Janet VUnfortunately on island we have limited options. I wanted a 15' van but none were available. We had to drive a 26' van, lightly loaded, 16hrs to Utah in gusting winds, dangerous. Todd at Post San Juan is 10🌟's, very accommodating, friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend the location highly enough. I wish Uhaul corporate could supply the island with adequate vehicles.
