I went to pick up the auto transport at 1pm, my scheduled time. After driving 20 miles because it was the closest to me, I was told they couldn't rent it to me because the computer was down and to come back at 3pm. I told them I would wait, so I went to get gas and came back. At about 2:45 that told me I could hook up. I asked how the tires were because on a prior rental it had a flat tire. They assured me the tires were almost new, so I backed up to the trailer they told me to. it was parked so close to another truck that I couldn't check the tires on the driver side, but the passenger side looked almost new so I assumed he was telling the truth. Well when I got home I checked all the tires and the drive side tires were not new, one was worn about 80% and the other one was BALD with cord showing. I immediately called Uhaul for service. After about a half hour on the phone they informed me that there was no one in my area that could come out and fix the tire. They tried to find someone that contracts for them but they had all gone home they said. I guess no one drives Uhaul trucks at night after hours. I also called the guy at the rental place and told him that he lied to me and he denied everything, I told him if I had a blow out while using the trailer I would sue him. Luckily I made it. These trailers look as though they haven't had any maintenance in over a year!
