Very disappointed in our recent transactions with Uhaul, Both times in the last six months that we have used U-Haul we have been met with the problem of being unable to Get what we needed at a location we picked therefore we had to switch locations. Even though U-Haul claims to have a guarantee when you reserve online that was not the case in either of our circumstances.

Everything was fine and the trailer met our needs perfectly. Staff was very helpful at both ends of our journey. thx

I returned the truck after hours, and was surprised with the sophistication of the closing process using the app. It was an overall pleasant experience, however it was almost disastrous because I wasn't warned that if I returned the truck after hours I'd be asked to take photos of the truck and mileage. I had already dropped the keys into the secured drop box before I went through the online drop off process, but luckily I hadn't locked the doors yet. I'd recommend making it very clear both verbally from pick-up and on the drop box signs that you should only drop the keys off AFTER you've completed the drop off process.

The return process was not clear. Sign only said leave vehicle here. Nothing about what else to do. Store had a long line of people. I saw an employee walking and asked him what to and he took care of.

I got the excellent service here, and I have no problem referring people to this location.

I was told I could drop my track off at any location I chose. So I went to Menands and was told that because my receipt had Cohoes on it that if I left it there they’d charge me 150$. This was totally different than what I was told. Had to call 800 number to get them to talk to Menands

They were slammed with customers and only had two people working the counter, one of whom was not fully trained because she kept saying she works regularly at a different nearby store. She was friendly and handled my transaction but could not handle or take care of customers in front of me, adding to the delay in waiting over 20 minutes to be waited on. This store had at least 15 customers waiting in line after me, so clearly the practice of sending people like me (who had wanted to pick up my truck in Webster but was told I couldn't) to this over run store is a stupid business practice. Let your neighborhood stores like the one in Webster do more...Also, there clearly is a market for a competitor to take over some of this business, since many people were not happy with their long wait for service today. If I had another company to do business with just to try for a better customer service experience, I would try them. The truck was fine. The price was ridiculous because I was driving one way, 30 miles total and we couldn't call it "in town" as it was one way, to the other side of the same city. Stupid. If I had driven the same number of miles but returned it to this store, I think the price was $30 instead of $100. What a rip off.

There were only two employees at the store when I arrived at 10:45 for my 11 o clock pick up. I waited in line for 50 minutes to pick up my rental. By the time I got home I had paid my movers $150 to wait for me because it took so long to pick up the truck. I tried 2x to use the truck share program that promised no waiting however it kept rescheduling my pick up to a location far away and inconvenient. The representative proceeded to ask me several questions (phone #, license, contact info, etc.) I explained I already filled out the forms on your website so as to avoid doing this in the store, to which she shared that service doesn't actually work. After the move when. I went to return the vehicle I could not find an employee to check me in where it is stated to return the vehicle. Back in the store I went, only to wait in line for another 25 minutes. While I was waiting an employee walked up to me and asked if I was all set, to which I replied no that I still need to be helped- he turned around and told the other employee "ok I have something to do and I'll be back in 20-30 minutes." Thoroughly aggravating experience from the website, the process, and the (lack of) customer service. I could not be less satisfied, I am aggravated and cannot possibly recommend your company. Frankly, I would like a refund.

Job well done. The 10' box truck needed an alignment, but worked for the local move we completed.

I took the time to register online I advance yet I was asked all the same questions when I picked up the truck which is quite redundant. Originally I opted to rent a dolly but upon being asked about it again during pick up I decided I didn’t need it & you should know that it is exactly what cost your company a few extra dollars. Although I understand that you need information to do business with me I found the online check in & the in person check in equally annoying. You need to eliminate the redundancies between the 2 process because if I take the time to fill out the forms in advance online I want the actual pick up to be super fast & easy which it was not. And when you tell me that you need a name & number of someone who knows I’m making the move & then say homeland security makes you do this I really do expect your employee to have that policy/ law in printed format available upon request which it was not. You annoy your customers with the repeat redunadant questions I’ve already answered online & even your employee seems embarrassed and is eager to insist that they are made to do it so really I don’t blame that poor guy I blame the company. You’re lucky you don’t have competition for this service. Also I’ve found most fees to be reasonable except for the mileage fee which you charge $0.99 per mile on top of all the other fees & charges so that me moving 15 minutes away in 2 trips cost me over $100. Pretty much for $100 more I could have hired 2 movers who would have showed up with their own truck & moved my stuff for me. But whatever, it is what it is but seriously if elimiaye the redundantcies for those who do the check in online because it isn’t worth it if I get asked the same exact question in purpose too & I don’t see how it makes my pick up any quicker.

I am a wealthy consumer and rarely need your services. The associate Vito (so?) who checked me in for “express” service was rude and muttered “fag” under his breath as I left. I am suing U-Haul for not discouraging hate speech. John Clayton cell 424 666 9258.

You do need more people on staff to accept the returning trucks. One person at the terminal trying to handle the pickups and returns doesn't work. We had five people waiting inline for one staff member.

didnt expect a large truck and had trouble driving it steering yawn to right

Delineate mileage rates so no confusion at time of vehicle pickup. Was told on phone $.79/mile but when I picked up vehicle was told $.99/ mile. When you’re driving 270 miles it makes a big difference in cost.
