WE had a TERRIBLE experience with the truck we rented !!!!! First of all, the front right corner of body had been damaged and covered up !!!! Bella Vista,Arkansas where we did live ecperienced a huge rain the night before we were to leave for our new home in Iowa, and our NEW BED WITH ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES GOTSOAKED ABOUT 3 FOOT UP IN THE MATTRESS !!!!!! We had to go to a motel for 2 nights in Missouri and when we got to destination, had to take Huge fans and set bed mattress outside for a dry out period of 2 days !! I have pictures of our mattress after they dried out WITH the staining showing ....These are expensive mattresses and the bed (electric) cost $4,000.00 and being up in our 80,s this is probably our last big purchase... You and I know , you have insurance to cover damage, so lets cut through the excuses....I am ready in about 2 weeks to go back to my U~Haul dealer, friend and rent another trailer , that I can pull with my own truck .... Three days ahead of move, I researched a 15 ft van with appliance dolly. Next day, some other U-Haul place in Springfield, Mo, contacted me, stating a 15 ft van not available. Offered 26’ for same price. I was desperate and had to agree although knowing it would double gas costs. Day of pickup, no appliance dolly, they haven’t had any for months. Quote. Whatever you want to call it, but bait and switch comes to mind, awful costly ordeal.
