First, the confirmed pickup location didn’t even participate in the U-Haul program anymore. That’s right—U-Haul booked me a truck at a place that doesn’t even rent them out. No warning, no notification, nothing. So, after scrambling to get in touch with customer service, they directed me to a guaranteed second location. Sounds promising, right? Wrong. Turns out that location was CLOSED ON SATURDAYS—something I only found out after calling them a second time when no one was there. By the time I finally tracked down a truck on my third attempt, I had already wasted several hours of my day, delaying my move by two hours. The entire experience was a confusing mess of misinformation, terrible communication, and zero accountability from U-Haul. This company made an already stressful day infinitely worse with their incompetence. If anyone I know is considering using U-Haul, I tell them to go with literally any other option. Never again.
