U haul called needing their unit I worked until 9pm unloading got to the yard it was dark and swampy it had rained but it was a mess workers were not aware that I had dropped it off the next day to check with them they were not friendly or helpful they just said we'll send you a bill after we check it they didn't want to see the pictures I stood in the rain to take then they did charge me for an extra day

How U-Haul Reviews WorkIncrease the hours at Las Vegas, NM facility. The "normal", advertised hours are 9:00Am to 3:30 (sometimes 4:00) were very troublesome for us when we tried to reserve a truck. Commnications with staff were also frustrating; The "reservations" person did not communicate seemingly with the fellow staff who release. equipment. Consider the needs of the customer who must schedule use of the equipment around weather conditions, availability of helper crew, daylight working hours at the scheduled project, distance to work site and more. It appears the U Haul site hours are arranged for the benefit of site staff, not the needs of customers. In the end the Las Vegas site staff accommodated our need to pick up the truck at 8:00 AM, not at 10::00. U Haul's reliance on digital communications based on AI or corporate messaging is NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT or RESPECTFUL to Customer needs. Service to customers in rural, smaller cities should be reviewed. It is the customer's responsibility, EVEN IF A RESERVATION IS MADE 4 DAYS IN ADVANCE, to obtain the necessary truck (equipment) from the next nearest facility.(Santa Fe, NM, 65 mi distant).which is an extraordinary inconvenience, expense, and impossibility based on customer's circumstances. This is U Haul corp. problem. Should not be the customer's obligation to solve.
