Nothing
Edward GI am not normally one to complain and I debated on this for a while, because maybe my husband made a mistake when updating on the app, but regardless if he did or not, the entire process was crazy. We had an original date of May 23, but we had to change it to June 7, that all went just fine. I received an email stating our reservation was updated to the new pickup date of the 7th. There was nothing else in that email. We booked our hotel based off the location on the email, which was 2 minutes from pickup. However, as I was messing around on the app trying to figure out how to start the checkout process, a completely different address showed up. This address was 22 minutes in the opposite direction from where we were headed. We finally get to the location around 7:50am. (Our reservation was for 9am, but we were told we could get it anytime, even the day before if we wanted to, as well as the website saying we can get it an hour before). Anyhow, the location is crazy out there and I swear people are probably murdered in the area and stored in the storage unit, that was the location. There were deer just hanging out in the field watching us (which is how remote it was) and there was very spotty wifi signal, which is the main thing needed to do the 24/7 uhaul. so, we walked around for a bit until we finally got a signal and started the process, but once we scanned his ID, it said we need another person to verify because they could not accept a cracked ID. So we added my mother, made sure she was ready and she got a text saying they would call and then never did. By this time the app stopped working and we had to restart. Same issue, saying it could not verify him. Finally we got someone on the phone, (who was very nice and helpful by the way), but this had already taken up a half hour of our time. When we finally got the key and to the process of taking pictures of the truck, the app kept timing out and we were never able to upload them all. (Probably due to the shitty wifi signal in the murder field we were in). Eventually we gave up on the photos and left because we were already 22 minutes further out than expected and the process took about 45 more minutes than it should have to get the truck. We ended up having to pay our movers for an extra hour that they had to wait. Upon returning the truck, we were charged for 12 extra miles, since we had to pick it up in a further location than originally planned. and since we could not upload the photos of the fuel, we had to fill it up full so we would not get charged for that as well.
Jeffrey PThis was just a key drop off, but it was hard to take pictures of the U-Haul since there were not many places to park.
HUNTER LVery kind and helpful staff!
