In addition to the truck, I also ordered a dolly and hand-truck particularly because my new place was approximately 50 yards from the parking lot. My rental was reserved for 4PM. As a precaution I stopped by the contracted U-Haul gas station in the morning and asked the clerk for confirmation of my order. The confirmation was important for me because I had hired movers to start at 4:30PM, as well as friends and family committed to the move-time. At 3:45PM, when I arrived at the store to pick up the truck, the clerk advised that he did not have a dolly. When I stressed my critical need for a dolly, he offered moving-blankets, instead. I asked him if he could help me locate a dolly at any other facilities nearby but his response was that I could physically visit the other stores. This was an extremely stressful situation. In the future, if I use U-Haul again, I plan to rent from a regular U-Haul facility- even if I have to drive farther- as contracted facilities seem less equipped and definitely less professional.

This location was not advertised as a gas station. The person behind the desk appeared confused when I showed them the reservation on my phone and then required I repeat my entire reservation specifics. Then the truck was missing the furniture pads we ordered. The original reservation estimated the total cost to be approximately $78, but ended up being over $160. When we picked up the truck, the gas tank was on empty, and the key fob did not note the level of gas. When we asked the gas station attendant he just shrugged. We had to put $40 of gas in the tank and it was barely at "E". And then the day after we dropped off the truck, my account was charged an additional $50. I would be wary to use this location. They do not appear to operate like the official U-haul stores I've used in the past.
AMBER SThe attendant must have been high. I told him that the driver side tire is very underinflated and he just laughed - AND DIDN'T SAY A WORD after. He was simply silent and would not respond. What kind of nonsense is that. I would give the attendant on site 1/18 a urine test stat. Absolutely ridiculous customer service - you should not be employing junkies.
JOHN HThe inside of the van was filthy. There were used dental flossers in the cup holder, old food in the door pocket and in one of the other cupholders. The dash was dirty. The floors were dirty. The windshield was so smudged that it was hard to see and at one point the sun hit it and I was unable to safely drive without trying to wipe it off. The clerk was rude and acts as though we were a bother. Overall, would not recommend this location and will not return to this location.
BEVERLY DFirst Location was very unsafe and they did not even contact me about the time of closure or provide a phone number to contact them. My UHAUL was canceled. 2nd site rental professed equipment of furniture dolly and pads. They were not there at all. The truck already had damage of paint pealing and marks. The attendant was uninformed about service and clearly very courteous and so apologetic an excellent worker given the circumstances.
