Our original reservation online did not transfer to Smart Size Buildings. I called and they said to come in person and make the reservation in person. The lady helping me was nice, but not very efficient. When asked where I would be dropping off the trailer I told her Gulf Shores, Alabama. She struggled with inputting the information into her computer. "She said I will just put Alabama." I found out later the U-Haul website has an auto fill function so when she typed in "G" the website generated the first "G" U-Haul location in Alabama, which was Gadsden, AL. Gadsden is a 4 ½ hr drive from Gulf Shores. I also asked why the cost I was paying was higher than what the website had quoted me? The guy sitting there said my wife had probably gotten a quote on a smaller trailer, which I knew was not the case. As a side note, I am a traditional southern gentleman and when the guy sitting in the office allowed the lady to go and hook-up the trailer I thought it was wrong. I maybe old fashioned, but I am OK with that. I wish I would have caught her before she hooked it up because I would have never allowed that. I called 1-800-GO-UHAUL to fix the return issue and I could not get it corrected. The customer service number was more interested in selling me insurance than allowing me to talk to a service agent to fix my issue. I called another number, which I found online. I was told I would have to call the Gadsden area drop-off coordinator. She was rude and made it sound like this was my issue. She finally said just return it to Gulf Shores and there may or may not be additional charges. I called a friend who has had a U-Haul franchise for 25 yrs. He put me in contact with a gentleman in Nebraska named Michael Circo. Mr. Circo explained what had happened, arranged a return location in Gulf Shores and generated our refund for the additional $45 for being over charger because the incorrect drop-off location was entered into the contract. He was wonderful. If I ever use U-Haul again it will be because of the professionalism from Mr Circo not Smart Size Buildings,1-800-GO-UHAUL or the Gadsden drop off coordinator.

Personnel being marked not helpful was because it was closed Sunday mid day when the truck was dropped off and when I called about 10 am Monday the person answering the phone did not have information on that truck. Recommending this location to a friend would depend if the location fits as it did in my case.

John FOff a country road, no signage, no lights office was a dilapidated shed. Ask someone where it was advised try to look for reflection of orange. POS drop off. U-Haul should be ashamed!
