I rented a trailer in North Carolina 4 days to transport goods to Altoona,Pa. This rental location asks me for a destination and proceeds to put down (1) one day transport and unload. I GOT UP CHARGED FOR HIS INCOMPETENCE! ! !

We were charged over double what I was estimated to owe at time of pick up without being informed. They had it put on a hold. When I brought the truck back it was earlier than my drop off time and I left it with more gas than was needed. I asked the lady working about the hold. She assured me as soon as they closed my contract my money would go back in my account minus my due payment. It is now the next day and I still don't have my money. My total owed was $149 and some change and they put a $313.00 hold on my account. Uhaul claims nothing is owed at pick up. You pay when rental is returned. Yet they took double what was owed . I'll never use this location again.
HEATHER WI had attempted to call multiple times to confirm my reservation. I was never able to make contact over the phone. I called the customer service line and they were not able to either. I did the online check in and had my fingers crossed. When I arrived at the gas station I went in not sure where to go and the woman behind the desk began to crudely demand information dispute me having already done it online. We made me do it a second time. She then told me she was going to charge me for 200 miles dispute me telling her in would not be using it for that many. She said she could charge me for more but was be in ng kind at 200. She then told me that she didn't have a tow dolly then proceeded to give me a small one as she was taking pictures of my license with her personal phone. She then told me to sweep out the truck when I brought it back and to make sure it was swept out. When I got to the truck before I even put the key in the door I took a video of the outside. It was terribly scratched up on every side. The front bumper had obviously been dented but there was a plastic cover making it appear from afar as if it were not damaged. When I opened the truck I had to fight to get the door up and ultimately had to get my brother to open it. I could not it kept getting stuck. The inside was filthy the floor was missing a screw and you could see through to the ground below the truck. One of the wooden rails on the right side pulled away from the side. When I opened the cab of the truck it had red clay all in the floorboards and floor in front of the center seat. There was a sign on the dash in the windshield saying best or lowest price. Something to that nature. I folded it up and started the truck. It sounded like it was definitely on its last leg. The transmission struggled to shift and it jerked. I attempted to call to let them know multiple times. I was unable to make contact. I was not comfortable going back to the store so my husband took the key back in. This time there was a man who told him he just needed the key. When my husband asked about the miles we didn't use the man said he had nothing to do with it that U-Haul the company did that........ He was lost because he was turning the U-Haul back into who we knew as the U-Haul representative. He then asked if he was going to go check the miles and the man only went and looked after the fourth time he had asked. He then printed out a paper that had the miles on JT and handed JT to my husband stating they U-Haul would refund it. We had a very stressful, challenging, non professional, and upsetting experience with this U-Haul vender. We will not be going back to this location.
