My first location was in San Marcos. U Haul changed the pick up location to New Braunfels which was not close to my location. I passed 4 U Haul dealers enroute to the desert location. San Marcos has 2 or 3 dealers also. This took over 45 min to just get to the location. The dealer (Bonnie) was pleasant and worked with me even though she was unaware that I was there to pick up a truck. On the drive to Ft Worth I also discovered the AC did not work, not a good thing in Texas.

This drop off location is surrounded by a fence and locked gate. There is no one there to open the gate. When you call the phone number no one answers. The red key drop box is behind the gate and cannot be reached. There is another drop box outside the gate, but its not clear that it's okay to drop the key in there. Also, I dropped off on Saturday evening. Then because they decided not to open on Monday, they did not process my return, so U-haul contacted me thinking I still had the vehicle. I have had plenty of great service from U-Haul and their pickup and drop-off locations, but this location is absolute crap and I wish U-Haul would find someone else in New Braunfels, TX. This location is also inconvenient and way out of the way.
JASON KSince I dropped off the truck when they were closed, I had to call them about how to return it. The guy I spoke to was very helpful and I got it turned in with no problems.
Carlton BTruck was dirty, with used gum stuck to the console and dirty floor mats, tons of dead bugs on the exterior. Also, store opening hours were NOT as advertised. They close at 2:00 pm, NOT 6:00 pm.
Melissa BIt was very difficult to find the gate code information. Not necessarily the locations fault, more of a U-Haul App issue.
