Original reservation was for pickup at Elizabeth. Inconvenienced by switching us to Newark location. Newark location promised for 9:00AM open. Nobody showed up until about 9:40AM. Then, we learn that we are doing this over the phone. Person on the phone was rude and short with me, and the crying child in the background made things much more difficult. We had ordered pads to go with the truck. Newark could not supply pads. We had to go to Elizabeth to pick up pads. Not only did this take time, we added extra mileage that we should not have had to. Please: 1. Open ON TIME. 2. Don't be rude. 3. Don't be short with the customer - it was very difficult to understand the telephone conversation with household background noise. 4. Provide the items specified in the contract - specifically, moving pads.
Olga Smake sure the truck has gas
ANIBAL LWe showed up as soon as the office opened to find no one there, no way to get our key and no response from anyone. Waited over an hour for our vehicle then finally received a call that questioning if we were there. A representative showed up an hour late. In the meantime, we were scrambling to find a vehicle for a job. Worst experience ever.
FRANKLIN PThere’s no one to help you at this location. I rented a truck with two dollies, and neither of them was inside the truck. I asked someone who works at a nearby shop if they knew anything, and they gave me one of the dollies, but they were not a U-Haul employee. The truck also didn’t have a lock on the back door
