My confirmed reservation included 6 moving blankets. But when I arrived someone had come in asking for 24 blankets of which only 12 were on hand. All 12 were given to this customer leaving 0 for me. Now I didn't ask if this customer had also reserved them or not. If they had this facility was 30 short, if they hadn't my 6 should have been set aside and this customer should have only been offered the remaining 6.
