I have nothing to add for the service at the location, it was above average, almost excellent, but the management service is terrible. The van that I rented had almost empty gas tank, around 1/4 of gas tank. For my trip of 60 km, U-Haul charged me $25 for gasoline. I put gasoline for $15 dollars at the end of the trip. In total for the trip of 60 km, I had to pay around $40.00 for gasoline. The cargo that I transported in the van was in total of 100 kg (4 doors for house renovation). The gauge for the level of gasoline in the van is less accurate when the gas tank is empty. I called UHaul representative to complain, they told me that a manager will call me. I am still waiting for the call from the management (24 h). As per AI, "U-Haul cargo van rentals typically achieve 18-19 MPG (miles per gallon) and feature a 25-26 gallon gasoline tank". If you do calculation, I paid 23.53 L of gasoline or 6.1 gallons for trip of 60 km or 37.5 miles. In total they charged me 3 times more then they should.
JAN LRental was not ready for me. Staff took key home. Suggested I should call U-Haul to get another truck . I suggested that I will be pick up the key from him. No sorry from the staff. They did offer me to drop it off later with no charge. I didn’t need it later.
