We picked up the truck on a Saturday so everything had to be handled through the app. Although we tried to upload a photo of the odometer to the website it didn't take. We didn't see anything on the app that said to verify the odometer against the "paperwork" (all digital) and we didn't think of it. We drove to Quincy and back, a total of 84 miles. When we got the receipt a couple of days later we were billed for 154 miles. I called U-Haul and also Gellar's. No one cared since we didn't have a photo of the odometer nor had we compared the odometer with the "paperwork". But someone at Gellar's either entered the mileage wrong from the previous renter's return or took a drive of 70 miles off the books. Either way, we ended up paying for 70 miles that we didn't drive along with the fuel charge for the extra 70 miles. Not sure if we'll use U-Haul again but we certainly won't use Gellar's for the pick up location. (Gellar's does have great ice cream).

I have always used U-Haul, loved them, very reliable. NOT this time, it took over 2 hours to get vehicle, mobile pick up no one around, then it wouldn’t start. Was given another one (didn’t receive the dolly we rented. Was advised the next morning to drive to another location, out of our way, to pick up dolly. Went there, they were closed. No dolly to move with. How do you move? Returned truck and had to rent elsewhere. Was charged $135. They refused to refund $ and only gave me a $50 refund. Will never use U-Haul again.
