This location did not feel like a safe location. It is in a large beverage (beer) shop in lower Poughkeepsie. I did not choose to pick up my vehicle here. I was told to go here because the location I did choose could not accommodate my needs. The van was very mediocre. Smelled a little odd and was not very clean both in the cab and in the back. The van performed well and I felt safe while driving.

Attention to detail and customers time commitments. The location was short on furniture pads by 1 dozen and I had to go back into the store to get the flat dolly that went with my rental as the clerk had already moved on to serving other customers. I also had to wait to pick up my rental until 11 AM even thought the truck had been there two days. Nothing like loading a truck in the heat of the day. Who determines the pickup and drop of times anyway?

The cargo compartment was dirty and had sawdust on the floor. The driver compartment was dirty with Goldfish crackers all over the floor and the sticky cup holders from spillage. I had to clean both areas myself because I won't put my belongings or myself is such filth.

When ever I call U-Haul and ask how much their equipment cost for rental they never mention the cash deposit only the actual cost of the rental.

Inspect the vehicles before you rent them out. I reserved my truck day before when I left w/truck I get couple miles down the road and notice the passenger mirror is loose and won't stay in place I couldn't see on right side. I was on time schedule so had friend w/me just hold n look when I needed to turn or switch lanes until we started hitting bumps and mirror almost fell off completely!!?? So we took off and kept inside truck because I wasn't being charged I was to far away by then to go back. This office had 24hrs to check truck this was totally disappointing,frustrating,scary ,dangerous and unacceptable.

I was over charged! The location for drop off was changed 3 times a manager was suppose to call me never did...I was late to work due to the location change! I will never rent again and am telling everyone I know not to use uhaul! This is the second BAD EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL! !!!!
