Other than I had to clean out interior and windows, back before I could load my things and brought it back cleaner (took photos) I even put extra gas in as it wasn’t fully full. So, I had to guess an amount which put it over what it was originally it was okay. I’ve used u haul before but, not in a small town. I see a big difference on how people treat other peoples things. But, the man at location was very kind. I got my deposit back. I thought id get a discount because I was moving my things from a horrific abusive home for me and my son to fly to parents in Newfoundland until our new place in Manitoba is fixed from fires to same town and was still almost 300.00. but, whatever. It is what it is. - Joanne
Joanne FAvailability of equipment across pick up points. Had to either drive 2 hrs to get this trailer and burn $50 of fuel or dump about $80-100 worth of fluids out of my motorcycle to use and enclosed trailer offered at the site 5 minutes from my house.
Lance BI was forced to go to this location due to not being able to get what I wanted at my desired location. Even though I had booked online and received confirmation that the 5x8 trailer was available. Less than 24 hours before scheduled pick up time I was notified of this. The U-Haul rep who called us stated that 1-way trips were categorized as lower priority bookings compared to return trips. No where on my booking was this stated. Also, if a confirmation number is given, does that not confirm the actual booking? I fail to see the point of booking something and getting confirmation only to be told otherwise. If it's not available, say so!! Then at least I would have extra time to book a return trip. I could have easily hauled an empty trailer to my location and return it if I had known. Instead, I had to drive and extra 50 minutes both ways to pick up. I have used U-Haul a few times in the past with no problems. What can U-Haul do to improve? Be transparent, a booking with confirmation should be just what it is. If it isn't, say so, plain and simple. The pickup location itself was fine, and the employee was helpful.
Paul DNo oil in truck, told us wrong place to drop off and had to pay an extra 100 in km's. Terrible!
