the truck was clean but should not have been rented per employee. Employee says maintenance was suppose to fix the tow drive gear which it wasn't. I also asked for a 17 ft truck and ended up with a 15 ft. This is the second time in just a couple of months that I've had problems with uhaul. Will definitely consider using another company in the future.

You guys charged me an 800% increase for a one way towing as opposed to in town. I do a lot of business with U-Haul, and I have continued to justify to my father my renting a trailer is better than buying one. I have also praised U-Haul to my neighbor's, and landscape customers, but now I am extremely disappointed that a $29.95 in town rental cost me $173.00 one way, and that that same one way trip reversed was $129.00 with taxes and insurance, which I always get additionally. Don't bother explaining the rhyme or reason, because it has already been explained, albeit, it still makes no sense! Bottom line is, your policy is nothing short of an opportunity for U-Haul to price gauge their customers and rake them over the coals! It cost me $229.00 to rent a 6x12 van trailer with taxes and insurance one way, and if I would have rented it one way, and had someone lined up to help me load it, and turned around and drove four hours to get the trailer back within my allotted 24 hour rental allowance, it would have cost $36 and change. Now you tell me, how is this fair, and appropriate treatment to your customer? I work extremely hard for $229, and I am sick to my stomach at the way you U-Haul has handled this issue. I had planned on renting my ramp trailers from U-Haul for life, but you better believe, that if I do not get some satisfactory compensation, that I will have a trailer built to my specifications, or simply buy one, and you will lose, a one time loyal customer, for life! I will also use social media to teach others to avoid the same dissapointment that I have had to endure, as well as warn all of my friends, family, and neighbor's, to avoid U-Haul at all cost. Sincerely, and totally deflated, Anthony Lee

I was totally unhappy with the rental today the rights side had no tail light or turn signal. Call the man where I picked it up that he said it was fine go ahead never ask that I want to come back and switch it out where he had six more and his lot. And the tire ratchet every time you tighten it up it will pop so I had to pull over and work on everything for me and my family to get home safely I was able to get the tail light fixed but not tje turn signal and I had to tie down the ratchet on the trailer so it wouldn't pop up so I could get home and I had to call my bank to put a stop on the transaction and I've already returned his trailer only used it two hours..

No problems with the pick up or drop off location, but unfortunately had some issues with the equipment and the information that was provided to me by the customer service person I spoke with from U-Haul. The auto trailer that was supposed to fit my 2006 Pontiac GTO did not allow my car doors to open, resulting in me having to purchase supplies to tape up the car window and drive it through the rain. I asked multiple times on the phone to make sure my car would fit because it sits low to the ground and was assured it fits. I will seriously consider not renting from U-Haul in the future due to U-Haul not being knowledgeable about the equipment.

After making my reservation by phone at that specfic location a week in advance, I arrived to find it horribly wrong. Instead of 24 hours, they had me down for 4 hours. At first the manager told me there was nothing he could do. Only after causing a scene did he offer a solution that at least let me get a truck, although it was for half the time I reserved. Adding stress when someone is moving is the last thing they need... just like making them rush. The person who messed up my reservation wasn't the least bit apologetic or helpful. He even seemed upset when I insisted he check the miles and finish my transaction while I waited. After the initial fiasco, I wasn't trusting him to record the mileage correctly. Overall a horrible experience. I will never return and I will tell everyone they are better off going a mile down the road to another location.

Easy access in and out of the parking lot made it easy to drop the trailer off and get it unhooked without having to back into a small spot

We had a reservation, confirmed it a couple hours before pick-up and then when we arrived at StoreSmart we were told they did not have our truck and that they could not help us. The service was poor and I do not recommend them.

There was a water sensor light on & they had to get another truck. The overall charges were doubled until I pointed it out. Took 40 mins to finish up cause of new person being trained.

The people there said they have nothing to do with Uhaul and do not participate in any 1 month free programs that U-Haul offers.

This place is a complete ripoff. I returned my truck and the person asked if I was just returning. When I said yes the person said "you are good". However, the next day I get a bill for fuel and cleaning. There was no explanation and now I find myself fighting to get my money back. Stay away from this site if you are returning equipment.

My reservation for 6 x 12 trailer was not there when I came to get it. I had reserved it 4 days prior, One was located and I had to drive 20 miles one way to another town to get one. When I got there, no one was there to help. Trailer tongue was placed on a cement block with front wheels off the ground!! No lifting mechanism on the trailer tongue. Terrible service!! NOTHING was offered to me to compensate for all this trouble. Wonder how much it would cost Uhaul to go 40 miles round trip to stage a trailer for a customer. I ended up 3 hours late to my appointment pickup. Credit due? You should have given me some kind of credit at point of pick up for such terrible service!!!

Office was unoccupied. Clerk was giving golf cart tours. Waited 20 minutes before I saw someone. It was then afterhours. I only got here due to the 1st choice did not have the unit as promised. 2nd alternate unit door did not function, so 3rd alternate was this place.

When I returned the truck, the employee here was not able to pull it up in the system. No doubt because the Spartanburg rental place had entered it as an in-town rental and not one-way. He said that since he had the contract, I could leave and they would email me the receipt. I then got a text four days later saying that my rental was overdue being dropped off. I called and explained and the lady on the phone said that she would call them and just have them close out the contract. A few minutes later, I got an email showing that had been done. I will be posting this review online also.

In regards to the clean equipment, the cab of the truck was clean and well maintained and the bed was clean as well, except for it smelled like someone was hauling fish before my rental. I had to air out the truck overnight before loading anything in it. Also, please make sure the employees inform the potential customer that the mileage rate increases during the weekend hours; I wasn't informed that the rate increases to $.99 p/mile over the weekend. Thank you
