Need more employees at this location. Waited in line for 35-40 minutes beyond my 10:00am reservation time just to get checked in. Only had one person working. Terrible! He did the best he could and was very pleasant considering the circumstances.

The reservation system does not inspire confidence. From the initial online reservation (which duplicated my order) to the 5 different people I talked to confirm my order (at different pick up sites for a 10 ft. or customer service center) things seem very uncertain. I was surprised that when I did pick up the 10 ft truck it was actually there and the checkout went very smoothly.

Was charged for 162 miles when I only travelled about 95. There is something highly questionable going on at the 3026 Florin Road location in Sacramento. It seems they are manipulating the out and in odometer numbers hoping customers will forget to compare the odometer with the contract before they leave. If this is something that happens regularly, then this location is ripping people off. I contacted Uhaul and filed a complaint. Ref# 1718874

Provide services that the customers are requesting such vehicle pick-up locations that customers are familiar with and have already requested. I recently requested a pick up location for a cargo van at a Sacramento location. I was given a reservation for a pick up of a cargo van at the West Sacramento location for 9:00 a.m., on a Sunday morning. This was not the time or location that I requested. I then went to Sacramento from Oakland by Amtrak train on a Saturday in an attempt to rent any Uhaul vehicle. I was advised by an employee at the Florin U-haul location there wete no vehicles available. Therefore I advised the employee to cancel the Sunday 9:00am reservation. I returned to Oakland by Amtrak train. I filed a complaint by phone with U-haul's customer service. My complaint was not resolved. I received a vmsg from a U-haul employee at the West Sacramento location stating that the reservation for the cargo van at the West Sacramento location was still available for me to pick up. This means my complaint was disregarded; therefore, I filed another complaint by phpne with U-haul's customer service. I received no response. I rented a U-haul last week and again received poor customer service, and poor customer relations from several U-haul employees. U-haul's complaint process is not effective. I have been a long time customer of U-haul for many years. It appeats now that employees are now determining what services are necessary for me the cuatomer. I am not comfortable with being provided with services that I do not want. As a customer who has to pay for said services, I want to be provided with available services and decide what those services will be. This is because I am the one who has to pay for those services. I find that many of the U-haul employees I have communicated within the last couple of months have been: rude, unorganized, unprofessional, and inefficient. I am not sure that I will continue to use U-haul in the future. In addition, the truck I rented continued to flash on the dashboard that the driver side door is open. The light stayed on during the entire trip from Sacramento location to the Oakland location. The vehicle also had only 1/4 level of fuel at the pick up location in Sacramento. Also I was not told by the rental agent that my mileage from Sacramentio to Oakland was limited to 106 miles. Irritated that I reserved a truck at the location on 47th and Stockton and got there but no truck available, we got sent to a different location, wasted my time and gas to find an available uhaul as I was needing to be at the home by a specific time. No one even bothered to contact me to let me know the truck was not there.

I did a last minute move, I didn’t have enough on my debit card ask to pay half on my card and the rest cash. The only guy working Manuel Mijares was rude and didn’t have any customer service skills. I ended up paying cash and he wanted to see my work ID for some reason and I showed it to him and he stated “that invasive “! I looked at him and was upset and I couldn’t believe this guy spoke to me like this. Maybe I could of wait to move some stuff, but it was my day off and the banks were closed to deposit cash into my account. I will never bring my business back to that store and I will not recommend this store to anyone! He needs some serious customer service training.

The trailer was contaminated with transmission fluid. I had to try and clean it myself and ruined my new shoes in the process. Uhaul sent me across town to pick up a replacement trailer that had dirt in it from previous renter. Why doesn't Uhaul check their equipment before they rent it to the next person? Profit before accountability I guess.

First I would like to say the person working at the Laguna Blvd location that set me up with my rental request was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The Florin Rd location was horrendous. I came in at 9 am (my pick up time) and the service was slow and it took 30 minutes before I got the 20’ truck I rented. The trucks steering was loose and the oil light kept going off and on as I was driving. The dolly lock was broken in the back of the truck. When I came to return the truck, the man that I returned it to was smoking and never made eye contact. He mumbled and was not clear on what was going on. He checked the trucks lights (why does the customer have to be involved with checking the light to U Hauls equipment, stupid) and the fuel. It was a little under a 1/4 tank and he decided it was enough to charge me $30 service fee (I should get some of that back for the service help of checking the lights that I did. Next he tells me to go inside to pay. I went inside and there were two customers waiting and no employees to be seen. After about 5 minutes I went back out and asked the same guy if someone was coming and he said rudely that someone’s on there way. After a few more minutes an employee outside helping a customer came in. There was obviously going to be a long wait with 3 customers ahead of me and only one employee. I asked if he could just charge my card so I could leave and go on with my self and he said he could. Why the other guy didn’t tell me that I don’t know. Neither employee was friendly. Not recommending the Florin Rd to anyone else, and if I ever get a UHaul again it will never be from Florin Rd again!
