Very very poor customer service. The person we picked up the tow dolly from had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I honestly am not sure how to begin. We came to pick up a tow dolly. When we showed up, no one was there. We waited and ended up calling U-Haul. We finally walked around the building and found the lady out in the back with her husband and their friend. We said we were here to pick up a tow dolly, her response ‘we don’t do tow dolly’s here’ (there was one on the ground right next to her). We point it out and she said, ‘Oh yeah, well we do them but this one is reserved.’ ‘Yes, we know,’ we respond, ‘we reserved it. We have the reservation number right here.’ She does not believe us. She takes us into the office and looks up the reservation. ‘See, I can’t let you take it, it’s reserved for a Miss ____’. I respond, ‘That’s me, I have my license with me. Check the reservation number, look it’s the same as mine.’ She says, and I kid you not, ‘that’s so weird that they gave two people the same number.’ I’ll have to call them. We finally convince her it is me, and then she doesn’t know how the system works. We walk her through the prompts ourselves, she calls U-Haul two more times for help because she doesn’t believe us, when the screen is telling her things as simple as, click the Next button. She then goes to take our payment. I give her our payment information. It goes through. The computer says, ‘___ Paid, 00.00 due.’ We can see that our bank has charged us. She refuses to believe this. Asks to charge it again, we say no. She says ‘If you can’t pay, I can’t let you take the tow dolly.’ We try to convince her we just barely paid. She calls U-Haul again, and is saying things like ‘Their payment isn’t working, they won’t use another card, I can’t figure out the computer system’ (literally all she had to do was click next at this point). We ask her to have them check on their end if the payment went through. They do, and of course it did. She is very confused. I have to ask them to give her verbal confirmation to let us take the tow dolly. We finally go back there, and her husbands friend is parked in front of the entrance so we cannot bring the moving truck around to attach it. He says he will leave in a few minutes. In a few minutes, we insist he leave. They say we can try to get around him (it is a moving truck, and there is a fence, he is parked in the entrance). We say we can’t, they act confused. We get frustrated and say we aren’t wanting to wait anymore, and he needs to move because we need the tow dolly. He leaves, we attach it and drive away about an hour and a half after we arrive. I am honestly wondering if there were some kind of drugs involved or something going on, because it was just not an everyday experience. So much confusion for just trying to pick up a tow dolly. I would Not recommend this location to a friend.

The young lady had no idea what she was doing. We literally had to call into U-Haul for me to get my reservation. Then they put me in a truck that looked like it had been through World War III X mark stickers all over it because of a claim from another person who used the truck drove it here to Nevada brake lights coming on cruise control would turn on and off. It was horrible. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a U-Haul.
Diane MThe location's listed phone number goes straight to a voice mail, and the message box for that number is full. It also states a person's name not company. The geographic location in Salt Lake City itself is OK. However, how to return the keys was very unclear. The name is partially correct: "Action Plus..." However, the company is not actually "Action Plus Car Detail LLC", it is "Action Plus Group" whose signs advertise "taxes, staffing, immigration law". We did think that we were in the right place because there were other Uhaul vehicles's parked outside. There is also a Uhaul sign with an arrow, but it was still unclear where to go. We took a while to find an open door to the building. This is partly because the right door was locked, so we assumed both doors were locked at first. Once inside, the building was clearly open with lights on, however there was no staff present during office hours. The inside area was perfectly fine and generally clean. We arrived before 5pm on a weekday and the site lists that their hours of operation are until 8pm. After waiting a while inside, we called Uhaul, they called a staff member, and the staff member came into the lobby to collect the keys.
Tyler LThis was a new location and training was still happening and we totally understand that learning takes time. :) We were unaware that our rental of moving pads and a dolly would not be available here at this location so had to drive to another location to pick these items up. It was frustrating to get charged the extra miles it took us to drive there to the second location when we were unaware we would have to do this in the first place. We also had reserved a point to point contract and our customer service rep at this location changed our contract so we had to drive back to the point of pick up which caused us to be charged more miles that we were expecting and another 45 minute drive back from our move. Upon leaving our pickup I had not recieved our contract and called customer service only to find the truck had never been dispatched to us. Customer service was great getting this fixed for us but upon return our rep at the location didn’t know how to return it so I ended up having to use the self return anyways.
