Check in took too long as clerk tended to other customers coming in for cigarette etc.... Then the vehicle was stuck in the snow. Total time took over an hour to get the vehicle.

When I reserved the vehicle, I also ordered a mattress bag to be in the vehicle when I picked it up. No mattress bag. Also, I drove the care 20km. The fuel needle was at 3/4 tank. I brought it back and the needle had barely moved from 3/4 but I was asked to put gas in or I'd be fined. It definitely wasn't at 5/8s.

Given a hard time. Suppose to pick up at 10am. Owner didn't arrive until 10:30. Didn't get the key until 10:40 Told to have vehicle back by 12:30 It was an awful experience. The owner was rude and grumpy.

I arrived 7 minutes before pick-up. The store owner came 15 minutes after my scheduled pick-up and did not even apologize for having me wait. Plus vehicle was so dirty and filthy.

Truck was very dirty. It had mud all over it from the previous users. I used less than 30km but got charged for 72km. The gas was listed at full but when I went to check, a whole notch was missing. Terrible experience at this location. Definitely would not recommend

Worst rental experience. The clerk at the daisy mart could not find my profile on his system and was getting frustrated as the line continued to build. He asked for my phone number, my drivers licence and then my passport. After some time was spent searching he kept repeating that he could not find it. He eventually just gave up and dealt with his line before assisting me again and told me that he had to redo the entire process. He was also unaware of how much fuel was in the car. I had to take a picture and explain why it was 3/4 full instead of the 7/8 that he suggested. When returning the vehicle, the clerk charged me extra KMs. In the picture with the fuel, it had also indicated the current KMs before rental so it was very evident that he had charged me an extra 5 KMs. This was by far the worst customer service experience i have had at any rental company.

The pickup of the van was delayed because two clerks at the Daisy Mart weren't familiar with the U-haul system. It took 45 minutes, but eventually between the two of them, they figured it out (both claimed to be new). Upon return, two DIFFERENT clerks did 'NOT' know how to process the return of the van. They advised me to come back in 2 hours when their manager 'should' be back (again, both claimed to be new). It took 2 phone calls to U-haul head office and over 1 and 45 minutes to get the van return processed. Not to be mistaken, my complaint and bad experience does 'not' pertain to the U-Hual representatives at head office - my issues is with the U-haul clerks at the daisy mart pickup location. The first U-haul representative attempted to 'walk' the Daisy Mart clerks through the return process over the phone, but eventually, the Daisy Mart clerk decided that it was not urgent because the manager would process the return and eventually hung up the phone. The second U-haul representative which I spoke with was INCREDIBLE and processed the return over the phone in about 3 minutes - without involving the clerks at the Daisy Mart. The clerks at the Daisy Mart were not knowledgeable and RUDE. They even went as far as stating that it was Sunday at that it shouldn't matter if my time was wasted because I didn't have anything better to do. Finally, the van smelled - BADLY! We had to drive with the windows down the entire time to air out the van. Thankfully it wasn't raining or I wouldn't have been able to make the trip because of the smell in the van.

1) Have people who are properly trained to use the system. ( I waited 30 mins before the system could be updated with my information. was told that the reference given to me at booking was useless.Had to repeat my telephone number several times to the attendant and he asked for my driver's license three times. 2) English must be spoken at all times. 3) Explanation of the rental process and all charges must be completed before vehicle is handed over to the renter.

After being at this location my credit card which he swiped several times the american express which made reservation with he reports wasn't working then he asked for my visa, made me swipe it two times saw me put code in after frustration. Now get a call that my credit card is compromised and someone was trying to make payment with my credit card. This people coming to the store looked questionable and place was very shady and looked suspicious. I will never go back

The cargo van we rented for the day was filthy, gross, the most disgusting car/van we ever rented. Trash was left on the floor. Coffee cups, trash, cardboard and a layer of dirt was all over the van's floor. We had to take it to our house and actually sweep the floor and vacuum it before we used it for the day. I will never get another cargo van from this location. When we returned the cargo van, we asked the clerk who is responsible for cleaning up the van. The clerk said: yes, i have to clean it. That is not acceptable. Something needs to change.
