I arranged drop off location ahead of time and when I called to let them know I was coming, they didn’t have room for my trailer. The place U-Haul customer service gave me was farther away, and when I got there, it wasn’t at the address given and no one answered the phone. I only discovered where to drop off by reading the reviews- it was an empty lot behind some buildings and difficult to find. I was also alone and did not feel completely safe as there was no one else around.

I booked a 20 foot truck - was told they had none available in my area and they would get me the 26 foot truck for the price of the 20 foot Got charged for the 26 foot - Felix the representative on Skokie first texted back, then ignored my calls - will write a complain and get my over 400 dollars back

BOBBY ESo thankful for a previous review leaving this review because it saved us so much time. “My complaint about this location is that it is NOT on W. Howard St, has no signage visible from the street, and thus was extremely hard to find. It may have a W Howard St address (which cannot physically be seen from Howard St), but the only way to get to it is from St. Louis Ave. We spent 20 minutes searching for it. The phone number listed was absolutely no help as it went straight to voicemail. To help others who may be stuck using this location (my reservation was "switched" to this location), go to 7506 St. Louis Ave, Skokie, IL and explore the back corners of the parking lot. You will see a U-Haul sign once you get deep enough in the lot and the trailers are located along the south wall. There is no physical presence at this location, only trailers.” The return box is located close to the signage with a QR code to scan through the U-Haul app to return your rental yourself.
