When we went to go pick up the truck the place wasn't even open. We had to call and somebody had to talk us through going to the back of the building and taking the keys from a lockbox. And then walk down the street to where the truck is. Also the most annoying part they estimated $200 for the move they took out $245 immediately and then the final total turned out to be $177. They shouldn't be able to take out whatever they want. If I didn't have enough I would have got an nsf. And I'm still waiting for a refund.

Arrived to find the door locked and store empty. Tried calling the number and it immediately went to a message saying the voicemail was full. Agent eventually arrived 15 minutes later. Requested a dolly and it was not provided. Windshield on the van was filthy and the van was completely out of washer fluid–had to stop at a nearby gas station to wash the windshield. Upon reviewing the contract later in the evening, the agent had put my start time an hour earlier than when I actually picked up the vehicle.
William GVery confusing to get keys. Did not have blankets I ordered.
Sarah MI called the store upon arrival, about 30 minutes before my intended pick-up time. The owner arrived a few minutes later to process the rental. Unfortunately, there was no dolly available for my reservation, and at first, he was going to send me on my way without one. I insisted on receiving something to match my request, and he provided a furniture dolly instead. I understand that local owners don’t control all equipment availability due to U-Haul policies, but this seems to be a recurring issue whenever I rent a truck from U-Haul. The second challenge was that this location was 10 km away from my original requested location. In downtown Toronto, that extra distance easily adds an hour to the trip with traffic and mileage, and I was charged for mileage over the one-way trip allowance—which already included the extra distance I had to travel just to pick up the truck. I will rent from U-Haul again, and I would consider renting from this location if it’s the most convenient option for my next move, but given these issues, I’m not confident it will be my first choice.
Marc JI don't recommend it to anyone and it's very spicy.
