U-Haul site was down causing my truck pickup to be delayed by hours which affected the entire move. Then, I returned the truck on time, but the U-Haul app was still not functioning properly and stalled at step 3 of 5 in the return process, so I had to wait for the employee at the shop to be available to process the truck return. The wait and technical issues made the return time in the system look later than when I actually had brought the truck back and I was charged $60 for an additional day with insurance. I tried calling U-Haul multiple times but did not get to speak to a person. I even signed up for the call back service, but it would cut off even when I answered by the second ring. Still did not get to talk to a person. This is all a failing on u-haul’s app interface and customer service not on the local people I dealt with. Very, very disappointed.
