The ECONOLODGE VERO BEACH 32960 location manually changed my twenty four hour rental to a six hour rental at 8pm at night. 9am I received an aggressive text stating that I was going to be reported to the authorities for theft. Upon calling UHAUL, i'm told there's nothing they can do about it. When I tried to return the truck, the gentleman at the front desk didn't want to complete the return. He took the key and told me I could leave. I told him after that text they sent me, I needed a receipt that showed that I returned the truck. He was visibly upset about having to process the return. What I find interesting is the night before... when I tried to pick up the truck at 7:15pm at night.... they had not checked it back in from the last person returning it. The manager told me it had been returned in the morning, but it hadn't been processed yet. That seems awfully curious. It caused over a 45 minute delay in picking up the truck, and... then.... I receive a text early 9am saying that i'm going to be reported for theft. This wasn't just poor customer service. It was customer abuse. Locations like this reflect badly on uhaul. Ultimately, this is UHAULS neglect for allowing a location to operate like this AT ALL.

PATRICK CI picked up at 8 am, returned at 9 am, was told it would be 2 day rental and was charged for 3. Over all very friendly at the counter and very efficient at the pick up. Had to use a guest at the hotel to get the 12' trailer off my truck.
Patricia BTerrible customer service. I booked through the app and should have only had to pick up and drop off my truck via the app. Both pickup and return required me to interact with the Econolodge worker, who made me redundantly jump through a ton of hoops before giving me, and later, taking back the truck. Receiving the truck took almost an hour, while returning it was 20 minutes. Since I used the app, each interacting should have been 2 minutes tops.
