Upon my arrival, the Uhaul staff was ready to provide service. They walked through all the charges, reviewed mileage and equipment cost and provided insurance options. The staff are personable and very friendly... it's always like visiting with a neighbor.
LAVERN GIt’s hard to get pics when renting/returning in such a tight parking lot. I don’t think there’s really a solution, but the photos end up awkwardly artistic
Daniel SA lot of the following has to do with the overall experience and some of it DOES reflect either the Tin Cup location or the return location/process.....this should not be considered solely reflective of the return location service. I did not intend to rate the cleanliness, personnel or recommendation as we returned after hours and did not have any interactions with anyone at the location but this review requires a response so you get what you get. 2. The van was returned Saturday the 9th at approx. 6:45pm to the location in Woodland Park (not Sunday the 10th as reflected on the closing invoice). I tried twice to do this via the app but both times it hung up at the last page where it said “please wait while we update your records”. I spent more than 15 minutes on hold waiting for a uhaul representative. That person did confirm that the truck had been returned. I also asked for a call-back while I waited on hold – that was supposed to come in 18 minutes but did not come for more than 40 minutes. 3. No one said anything about mileage charge for “extra mileage” although I will say that upon looking closely at the fine print, I do see it on the rental agreement that was emailed/texted to me. None-the-less, the truck was also returned with more gas than what was in the vehicle when I rented it so I should have a credit for that (see pictures of dashboard at pickup and at return. As you can see the gas when rented was BELOW the half tank mark, both here and on the contract, while the gas at return was AT the half tank mark, representing at least 2-3 gallons of gas (at $439/gallon, that’s a credit back to me of $13.17). 4. I find the $25.00 cleaning fee to be egregious for folding blankets. The van was returned with no trash or other stuff in the van or the cab, only the blankets that needed to be folded, and all were clean with no dirt or other damage. Frankly, I am disappointed with the rental experience with uhaul for this move. The initial rental was a difficult process given the renting agency had plenty of time to ensure my entire rental was available. It was clear that the person running the store did not care and took a very “Too bad, so sad, not my problem” attitude regarding unavailable furniture pads. The added mileage charge was unreasonable – I could MAYBE understand if the rental was from Golden to Woodland Park but the actual mileage on the truck was something like 300 miles – that is not a real one-way rental. But to charge $1.00 per mile for a 15 mile difference is obnoxious and unreasonable. In any case, that extra charge should be explained ta the time of rental so that a reasonable renter would know what the potential extra charges would be and could consider if they had to make a short side trip to a storage unit plus a residence and could agree to a slightly larger mileage allowance (again within reason). Lastly, the return process was a pain in the backside – very slow responses from uhaul, no acknowledgement that I had already commented in the return about the mileage fee vs extra gas, and no closure on the app for having successfully returned the vehicle. Customer service , when the FINALLY connected was okay but this was a much more painful process that should have been the case. Overall, while we got the move done, it was made much more difficult by the uhaul locations we dealt with (except for the location at 15500 W Colfax) and uhaul customer service. I question whether to ever rent from uhaul again.
Peter LIt was a great experience renting from this location m, no need to change anything
