I made a reservation at Matsqui Place location and when I got there was told the location changed. It was now at Huntington location. The woman serving me at Matsqui was rude and uncooperative. I had to pry the Huntington location details from her. A little more cooperation and patience from her would have made it a lot less frustrating.

the whole deal was wrong. I went to the Hope location and found there were no trucks available. I was told that I could rent one from the Hope location for 29.95 per day. However there were none there so I was told I would have to go to the Huntington location to get one and bring it back to Hope. It was my understanding that I was acting on u hauls behalf in moving the truck from one location to the other and that I would be renting it a the local daily rate from Hope. The attendant at Huntington could not grasp this concept. I was then charged $124,25 on my credit card by her and it was my understanding that an adjustment would be made on my return of the truck to the Hope location which would be 3 days of in town moving. My bill would have been almost half of what it was. Not very good as I went out of my way to move your inventory from one location to an other so that I could rent one from your Hope location.

Charged us for gas when the gas was where we got it and lady wouldn’t do an inspection with us because we had insurance so she said she’s so it on her own. We had to force her to do the inspection and still had to pay for gas. Rip off

It's always a pleasure to deal with the owners here on Huntington. .I've never had any issues and the lady has always made things easy for me when I need to rent from u haul. Very friendly and great customer skills..thankyou

In the middle of my move which was already full of stress I was told my drop off location was changed from the agreed location close to home. This new place was at least 30km further one way and then of course a return trip. This cost time and money not happy. Don't do this .

Nothing. Just keep up the good service and carry on being friendly and nice to customers. Thanks!

Upon arrival at the location we had booked our vehicle to rent we were told false information about needing a credit card in person and we couldnt get the van without it. we then called u haul about the situation and were told after we had been turned away and went home that we did not need a credit card on us to rent the van as we had a credit card on file. after we had returned it took us another 30+ minutes of arguing with the man behind the counter about what we had been told by uhaul that we were allowed to rent the van without the credit card swipe which also pushed back our moving and cost us the helping hands that we needed and had to move with just me and my wife while watching our 2 young children. after we had returned the van i had said multiple times that i want to pay by debit and not to charge the credit card as its my mother in laws and we only used it to book the van and they charged it anyways and now its taking some time for the money to get back onto the credit card which is now causing altercations with my wifes parents to pay for fuel and come into town to visit which they had planned on doing for awhile because of the incredibly poor service at this uhaul location. i am not at all happy with my experience and i will be exploring other options other than uhaul for my next rental vehicle. NOT impressed

I had reserved a 20ft truck for 7 days. I had also done the on line check in. I arrive and the gentlemen proceeds to check me in as though I had not provided any of the information. Takes all my information again. Then he asks me to check the truck and it’s mileage. The cargo door is not working well and the mileage was slightly different. When I go back in there is now a woman at the counter and I go to explain the mileage and can someone look at the door latch. She snatches the folio from my hand and says” that is not my truck and I was not supposed to pick up my truck from here.” I show her my reservation which clearly says Huntington Esso on that date etc. She maintains I was not supposed to pick up the truck from this location, the one truck out there has been rented to someone else. I have movers arriving in 1 hour to start my move and I am can’t believe what she is telling me. I show my reservation again and there is debate between the woman and the gentleman. I saw my reservation on the screen when the gentleman was checking me in. She is then on the phone presumably calling U-Haul. She says something about another truck not being returned. This was an extremely stressful day. I have had cancer and had to sell my property and need this truck for a substantial move. I actually started crying because I couldn’t seem to get through to them. Then a lady shows up who is obviously the other renter. The woman is getting off the phone and I guess U haul has said my reservation is correct and that the other renter has to go to another pick up location for her 1 day truck rental. That location is a 25 minute drive in the other direction. The other customer is incensed as she confirmed her booking with the location the day before. The woman says U haul on line is at fault. Her tone just escalated the other renter’s upset and that lady asked how she could speak to a customer that way. She storms out. The gentleman then proceeds to redo the entire reservation process with me. If I hand the needed the truck so badly, I would have walked out. This was one of the most brutal customer service situations I have experienced in my life and I have been in business a long time. When I returned the truck the woman was pleasant and said sorry for the issue. Two things. One is how the situation happened in the first place. Someone needs to figure out how this even happened. Second was the handling of the situation by your u haul representatives at the Huntington Esso. Both are completely unacceptable. I have rented from h haul before. hope never to need lot rent a truck again but if that happens, it will not be using U haul. It was a disgraceful experience.

You lost our original booking. Then you made us go to a much further location to get the truck which caused a ton of mileage and added cost. UHaul was just awful. I will never use your company again. Also your truck was not maintained well and the wheel alignment was not good. Made turning very challenging when loaded. Unfriendly staff as well. Terrible. Really angry with your company and it's the worst service I have ever had in a move. Other truck rental companies are far superior to you.

I originally ordered a 20 foot van, that was located on Hazelwood Dr, in Abbotsford, BC,which is also where I was storing the furniture. It was confirmed. Then, 2 days before the move, I get an email from UHaul confirming that my 20 foot van was ready to pick up in downtown Langley, about 50km away. NOT happy. I phoned Uhaul, and complained that I had ordered the van much closer, and was told that they didn't have a 20 footer in Abbotsford. I finally had to settle for a 15 footer, and pick it up 10 km away. When I arrived at the storage unit, I discovered that they ALSO had an unrented 15 foot van. Not happy with the extra mileage. But, the van that I did rent was clean and did the job. The people at the rental place were pleasant, and made sure that I had everything I wanted, and the transaction was handled expdiently

Booked via phone and was told, and my order online prior to pockup reflected this as well, that because I wanted a 10' truck and only a 15' was available that i would get that truck for the price of 19.95 plus 49 cents per km. Upon pickup was told NO that was not the case. Instead would be 29.95 plus 69 cents per km even after I explained the situation? NOT IMPRESSED. Wiill definitely look for other options next time i need to rent a truck!

Your representatives are a joke. I've always used uhual and this has been an awful experience. The trailer was filthy. When we went to drop it off, the attendant was on his phone and appeared to not care at all. All he did was gesture where to leave it and he walked off. Imagine our surprise when your agents are calling us, implying we didn't return it. The phone agent was extremely rude and wanted to place the blame at our feet. In the end you find it and not even an apology. Seriously disappointed.

When renting from out of province it would be beneficial to have all the costs rated online when registering and paying instead of arriving to pick up and having to pay extra charges.

Uhaul sucks I won't use them ever again to move. You need to do something to either guarantee the rental size asked for or at least let the customer know weeks in advance that you are unable to provide what they asked for.

As a 69 year old senior, U-Haul let me down for the first time. Two comments: Comment 1: I needed a 12' open trailer to haul lumber. No 12' trailers are available in Chilliwack where I live. Not just today, they are rarely available - simply zero inventory. I had to drive 160km to rent and return the trailer today After picking up the trailer, I drove 200 additional km's round trip to take lumber to our cottage. You can image how tired I was, having to add an extra 160km's for pickup & drop off, not to mention a LOT of extra gas & time. Chilliwack does not have sufficient inventory, especially for a city of 90,000 residents and it appears that U-Haul does not monitor or audit inventory levels at rental sites. Comment 2: The U-Haul yard is messy, with no one to check hitches, guide customers while hooking up, etc. The ONLY employee is an amazing lady who was running THREE different businesses by herself all day > convenience store, service station & U-Haul rentals & returns. She is VERY overloaded despite working quickly. Please help this business to get organized properly. I cannot imagine operating with less than two people. I cannot imagine operating with less than 2 employees, especially all day long.

The trailer I rented was supposed to be 6 feet wide but the opening was less than 5. This was a huge inconvenience as we did not notice until we drove over 60km's. We immediately took the unit back only to be treated rudely and still charged for the rental fee. We will never use uhaul again, it's just not worth it. We will take our business elsewhere next time.

DId not ask for insurance and yet was charged $10 for insurance. Did not get a receipt as I was told it would be emailed to me so did not see the charge until the next day when the receipt was emailed.

I would have preferred the puck up to have been in Chilliwack, like it was oringinally set-up. The pick up time at Abbotsford was much better for me though. I'm sure that anyone who is moving far away from the pick up site would prefer an early pick up time.

I would not recommend any uhaul location. By far the most stressful thing I have had. 7:30 pm the night before my 9 am pickup I get a text from uhaul saying I can pick up my smaller truck 50km away from where I was supposed to pick up.but it is a 6pm pickup now. Then I finally get ahold of someone and they say nothing they can do. They can give me a van. I booked 30 days in advance. Shocked I waited until 7 am to go talk to them. They offer the van at the move time I need. Or take the one at 6pm 100km round trip that will not work when I have to move. Finally they call head office or someplace and I got on the phone. Instantly a smaller truck is available 7 km away. All this and I still have to pay full rates. What a joke.

The lady gave my trailer to some guy who came in. She asked if it was for my last name and he said yes and she changed the towing vehicle and everything and let him take it. She didnt ask for ID. It wasnt even a female and my name is not one that is gender friendly. She said people send others all the time but that should not be allowed. the contract person should be at least present. call the number and ask, anything would have been better than just saying "oh ok". I had couches on hold that i had to let go and i had driven from chilliwack to abby knowing i had to go all the way back to abby after empty. it was a waste of my time and gas
