I've dealt with U-Haul a few times in the past at a different location, but this time I had no other option but to choose another location on this previous move and we were very unsatisfied with the service that we received, as far as quality goes. We definitely did not receive the "quality" service that we paid for. We arrived at the pickup location and at first, did not see the small building that we were supposed to go to pick up our equipment and truck, once we finally received our truck key, we had to walk across the 55mph highway in order to access it. Sure enough, once we got to the rental truck and got in to start it, it was dead as a doornail, no lights, radio, no attempt to turn over, nothing. We ended up having to walk back across the highway, back over to the store and let them know that they gave us a truck that wouldn't start up, so we went back across the highway with the owner and opened the hood and he had no clue where the battery was located until my 15-year-old brother pointed it out, then he had no jumper cables and my wife had already left with the car in order to finish packing boxes up at the old house, so the owner went to the garage next door and picked up some jumpers and to use the garage's truck. I almost felt like the guy had no idea how to properly jump start a battery, he hooked it up because I wasn't doing it since I paid for a truck that should've been fully functional and ready before we even arrived. The man would let it charge for about 15 to 20 seconds before trying to crank it over, every time! I finally had to tell the man to let it charge a few minutes before trying again, sure enough, it sit there for 5 minutes, and turned right over after trying it again. He made it sound like it wasn't even a big deal, all of that put us behind by over an hour. Later on, we discovered it had a signal/park light out on the front passenger side and the tired were almost as bald as a Radio Flyer wagon and the steering was a bit goofy, keep in mind that I've driven large vehicles in the past. We got stuck in the slightly wet grass while trying to back the truck up at the old property, which caused some damage to the front yard. Once we arrived to the new property, we discovered that our appliance dolly was nearly seized up. Therefore, we ended up having to carry our heavy appliances up three flights of stairs with our hands. Once our moving was finally complete, we went to make the drive in order to drop the truck off where we picked it up that morning, the rain had picked up a little at that point, but not bad though. Our truck broke traction at 40-45 mph on the highway at regular acceleration due to the poor tires, nearly causing it to lose control, it shook my wife up by what had just happened. Like I said, I have dealt with this company a few times in the past, but this experience was absolutely unacceptable, I did not receive what I paid for! If something is not done about this soon, then you can bet that I'm going to
