Steve Feamster was excellent to work with! He explained everything in detail and showed me how to do them, as well. I couldn't have received better service. Highly recommended!Jack T.
Fellow was very helpful and very polite everything was perfectBrittany D.
The Biggest problem I had was with the 800 UHaul number. The person was not helpful at all. She did not even know of the Feamster location and she said that I had to go to the Lewisburg, WV location. I had been to Feamsterearly that morning before they opened. They had 5 10' trucks, so I know they did have what I needed. I fiinally had to hang up on the person and I told her that she was completely unhelpful. I drove back to Feamster at 1 PM. He was closed as he had a doctor's appointment. I did get a cell phone number and spoke to the agent's wife. She arranged for me to meet her husband in about 45 minutes. He arrived and took excellent care of me. This is an excellent center because of the agent. he deserves five stars and I will use him again. I will not call your 800 number because the information was completely incorrect and they did not even know of the Feamster location. I had to go above and beyond to use the Feamster location. Please provide your 800 people with updated information.john M.
Please notify me sooner when my original pickup location is changed to a place further away.James W.
Our rental place was changed the day before the rental date and the new location was 40 minutes In the opposite from the original location. The new location was very inconvenient and added another 1.5 to the move trip. We made our reservation 2 months in advance.terrence G.
Loaned me a lock so I didn't have to buy one. Was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this location.mark S.
My father passed away and I needed to rent a trailer to bring some of his things home with me about 650 miles away. Steve was so helpful, kind and sympathetic of my situation and made the whole process so much easier.karen T.
Only charge I received was for the few extra miles put into the truck. My overall experience with UHaul rentals was a very positive one. I moved out of state, had a one-way rental and everything ran smoothly with no breakdownsMary K S.
Coming from I-64, the GPS shows arrival at location a good 3/4 of a mile before actual business. All wooded area with several turnoffs. Can be confusing. Stay on route! Business is right next to road. There are two buildings. Office for pickup was on left side. Signage would be very useful.Bruce W.
The guy at the location was a smart butt and kind of nasty, the truck was dirty and someone had smoked in it yet nothing was said! I have breathing issues and allergies and the 10 hour drive turned into 30 hours because I couldn't stay in the truck more than an hour without choking , coughing, and eyes and nose watering to the point I couldn't go on! I called your help line and took 4 different tries of over a half hour or longer waited until I got a woman who said to role the windows down and check for an ashtray! I thought all rental vehicles where smoke free but sure enough their was a small shut compartment on the center engine cover full of ashes and cigarette butts! #uhaulfamousFail!!Charles B.
This was not the location that the reservation was made at..... after a couple of hours we were told to go to other location. Lost a whole day of moving .....John F.
The Gentleman was very nice and helpfull!!rock E.
Quick and easy place to do business.Thomas W.
This is an excellent location. The staff were very helpful to make the experience as pleasant as possible. The truck was well maintained and very clean. The one issue that could be easier would be to request that trucks be filled with gas when the truck is returned. My truck was to be returned with about a third of a tank. I just filled it up upon returning it. Thanks for a great experience!john M.
Very efficient, very polite and always ready to make things go as smoothly as possible. Great place to rent a uhaul from.barbara M.
Only complaint I have is , it took 5 hrs. to find a truck. When anyone is ready to move ,nobody wants to spend this kind of time looking for a truck. It was only good fortune that we got this one!! Right time right , right place. Traveled 40 minutes one way to get truck. Not a good way to do Buisness!!Dean D.
Would like to see a hitch jack on trailers !!!justin H.
Everything was great and went as planned.john J.
I've dealt with U-Haul a few times in the past at a different location, but this time I had no other option but to choose another location on this previous move and we were very unsatisfied with the service that we received, as far as quality goes. We definitely did not receive the "quality" service that we paid for. We arrived at the pickup location and at first, did not see the small building that we were supposed to go to pick up our equipment and truck, once we finally received our truck key, we had to walk across the 55mph highway in order to access it. Sure enough, once we got to the rental truck and got in to start it, it was dead as a doornail, no lights, radio, no attempt to turn over, nothing. We ended up having to walk back across the highway, back over to the store and let them know that they gave us a truck that wouldn't start up, so we went back across the highway with the owner and opened the hood and he had no clue where the battery was located until my 15-year-old brother pointed it out, then he had no jumper cables and my wife had already left with the car in order to finish packing boxes up at the old house, so the owner went to the garage next door and picked up some jumpers and to use the garage's truck. I almost felt like the guy had no idea how to properly jump start a battery, he hooked it up because I wasn't doing it since I paid for a truck that should've been fully functional and ready before we even arrived. The man would let it charge for about 15 to 20 seconds before trying to crank it over, every time! I finally had to tell the man to let it charge a few minutes before trying again, sure enough, it sit there for 5 minutes, and turned right over after trying it again. He made it sound like it wasn't even a big deal, all of that put us behind by over an hour. Later on, we discovered it had a signal/park light out on the front passenger side and the tired were almost as bald as a Radio Flyer wagon and the steering was a bit goofy, keep in mind that I've driven large vehicles in the past. We got stuck in the slightly wet grass while trying to back the truck up at the old property, which caused some damage to the front yard. Once we arrived to the new property, we discovered that our appliance dolly was nearly seized up. Therefore, we ended up having to carry our heavy appliances up three flights of stairs with our hands. Once our moving was finally complete, we went to make the drive in order to drop the truck off where we picked it up that morning, the rain had picked up a little at that point, but not bad though. Our truck broke traction at 40-45 mph on the highway at regular acceleration due to the poor tires, nearly causing it to lose control, it shook my wife up by what had just happened. Like I said, I have dealt with this company a few times in the past, but this experience was absolutely unacceptable, I did not receive what I paid for! If something is not done about this soon, then you can bet that I'm going toBrandon H.
great experience - thanks so much!Jennifer B.
Sirs: I originally rented two Dolly's and 1 dozen pads from U-Haul in Macon GA. I returned 1 Dolly (I did not use it at all) and 6 pads because I did not need them. The pads were never taken out of the bag they were in. When I got my final bill I was charged for 6 pads saying they were missing. I again left the pads and 1 dolly at the Macon Store. According to the Store clerk I should have been credited $15.00 for the cart and she forgot to mention the ½ dozen pads I brought back. She stated herself in a note she gave me that she was not able to adjust the final price and asked that it be adjusted on the other end. I changed my destination to Alderson WV and it was there that I dropped the ½ dozen pads that I had and the one cart I had. Instead of being credited to my account with the $15.00 she said I should get and of course the pads I didn't use I was charged. Mind you I am not complaining. My experience with U-Haul has always been great as it was this time. Everything got confused when I took things back. I am asking that you refund me the $12.00 that was charged to me for the “missing†pads, the $15.00 for the cart I did not use and $12.00 for the pads I originally left at the Macon Store. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. I ORIGINALLY WANTED TO PICK UP THE TRUCK IN FAIRLEA, WV. THEY HAD NO ONE TO DELIVER A TRUCK THERE, SO I HAD TO MAKE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS TO GET TO ALDERSON. DON'T YOU HAVE A $50 REFUND POLICY IF THE TRUCK IS NOT IN THE LOCATION YOU REQUESTED?Carl M.
The store owner was incredibly helpful. He helped me choose the right directions to take the uhaul as well as instructed me for several road hazards to watch for. A great guy!Michael A.
