This was the worst experience we have ever had with a company. We scheduled to pick up our U-haul at 8am and no one was at the facility when we got there. We tried to check in through the app and then it said we were not assigned a truck so we had to call a number. When I called the number the first person who picked up said give her just a moment to set up our account and what we needed and she has us on hold for 30 minutes, I'm not even sure if we were on hold because there was no sound and she was unresponsive. We called on a different phone while staying on the line and someone picked up after a 10 minute wait and then hung up on us. We called again on the other phone and finally someone picked up and the only thing she said she could do is transfer the order to another uhaul location, we said yes so she did, I asked if we could return it to the original one and she said if we did we would get a charge for not bringing it to the same place we got it from. When we went to pick up the other one the app took 30 minutes for us to get into the U-Haul and then logged me out so I didn't get the code for the key so we had to call customer service AGAIN to get the code. This was the worst experience, set us back an hour and a half from our original time because of the horrible customer service. I am so upset about the amount we had to pay for having a truck for less than 5 hours of having it after having the worst experience we have ever had. I will make sure anyone I know should use a different company to move their things. Super disappointed in how horrible the experience was.

Much work on our part but this is behind us we a getting settled in The cost was reasonable overall and it was a decision we made which paid off instead of choosing to use our own vehicles and making multiple trips. Justin M.I had to go to this place because I was contacted the night before and told the main location didn't have my size trailer. We wanted a very early start, however we were told this place wasn't open until 9 am, compared to my original choice at 7 am. When I arrived at 9 am, it had a closed sign and a "Back at 10AM" sign. I returned at 10:30, and still no help. I didn't get my rental until 10:45. No early start after leaving my house a t 6 am.
DENNIS G.I rented a large moving truck, a utility dolly, and an appliance dolly. Uhaul called to confirm my pickup at a location I had picked when I made the order. They made it clear on the website that this choice was just a preference and not a guarantee. So the day or two before, I get another confirmation call for a different location, reason being this new location had the dollies I needed. I get there, the truck was waiting but no dollies. I also used the online/phone check in option but kept getting an error message, so I couldn't retrieve the key. When I called the office for help, the guy said, “We don't work on Saturdays.†I managed to finally get the key for the truck, but had to pay another uhaul location to rent the only appliance dolly they had left. The truck ran fine for the trip across several states. When I went to return it, I went to the location Uhaul texted me to return it. But when I logged in to my account to go through the return process, it said I had to go to a different location several miles away. The equipment was fine and clean, the communication was horrendous. It added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation. I paid for equipment I didn't get and when I asked for help, all I got was, “We don't work on Saturdays.†I probably won't use U-Haul again for that reason alone.
