The "self-checkout" option needs some work. It wasn't clear to me how that would work. I did get a voicemail from someone at the location telling me what do to, but the SMS messages I got a few days prior to my rental did not work where I was in the UK so I had no way to upload my driver's license detail and I sign the forms. As it turns out, there was a person there at the location both for my pickup and return, but the person there for the pickup seemed to be having a bad day. I asked some innocent questions and the basic answers I got were that "I should have been able to figure all of this out from my phone" and that she "did not work for U-Haul." As an agent of U-Haul, her attitude did not reflect the type of person I would retain as a front office communicator. Trying to make me feel incompetent with the technology instead of helping me get my rental done was not a good way for me to see the face of U-Haul at the outset. You could do much better, U-Haul.
