We rented our U haul well in advance to be picked up at the most convenient location possible for a move from WI to MN. When we went to pick up our U haul the computer system was down so we needed to process final arrangements over the phone. As we were handed the keys to leave we were told the 26 ft. U haul only had a 1/2 tank of gas. Really!!! We picked it up at a U haul location already connected to a gas station. This truck should have had a full tank of gas in it already! So very disappointing and frustrating! When we dropped off the U haul in MN at our designated drop off location and on time we were told there would be an extra charge for gas, cleaning, and late fee. We had to advocate for ourselves to get this fee waived! Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating U haul experience!

Floor mats were dirty when I received the rental and was charged a cleaning fee when I returned it in the same condition I received it. The clerk marked the fuel as less than what I returned it with and charged a refueling fee. Scammers. I will not rent from this location again.
Graham YUnfortunately we would not pick this location again. The owners were very rude and reluctant to help us. They did not include the dolly in the truck. When we called to ask about it, they questioned whether we ordered one and didn’t want to believe us at first even though it was in our order confirmation. They also added the 15$ damage coverage without our knowledge. This was also not in our final order confirmation, which we have a screenshot of. They added it upon pick up. We went back for the dolly and they thankfully gave it to us. When we returned the equipment, they said they would remove the 15$ charge, but it is still in our receipt. We also took a photo of the final mileage and truck to show we swept it and when we tried to show them the photos to confirm everything, the owner was very dismissive and said “I don’t care about that.” We will be calling them again today about refunding the charge.

BO RThis location was much more prepared than the 1st location. My vehicle was "guaranteed" for pickup on 12/26/25 at 11:00AM at the BP gas station and when I arrived, they told me that my 'reserved' vehicle had been taken during the night and that it wouldn't be back until 3PM! We had our day planned, and I don't understand how someone could come and take it and then NOT have it back until much later then my 'reserved time and place'.
