I already called customer service to start a report. Never got a call that the truck I rented was not available. Flew from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to pick the truck up at the Peters street location where I learned my truck was not available. They sent me to the McDonough Blvd location to get a smaller truck. Drove to Alabama to pick up equipment and not all of it fit in the smaller truck. Now have to spend an extra almost $2,000 to get the remaining equipment shipped back to Pittsburgh. I sent customer service my receipts for the truck, extra shipment and the Lyft I had to take to get to the second U-Haul location. Complete lack of communication and customer service on U-Haul’s end that resulted in waste of my time for a scheduled pick up of equipment and a lot of extra money that I shouldn’t have to spend.

Was instructed by U-Haul to take the truck to this Lakewood Foodmart which was a hole in the wall. I parked the truck and walked inside and was greeted by a gentleman that barely spoke English. I asked for some type of paperwork to show that the truck had been turned in and he refused stating that I would get papers by e-mail. I wrote down his name. Before walking inside I took a picture of the instrument panel showing that I had just filled the gas tank and also showing the mileage on the odometer. He wrote this information down. I then started getting e-mails and texts from U-Haul asking when I was going to turn in the truck. I responded and this went on for a week and I was finally told that someone would be sent to the Foodmart to check in the truck. Yesterday I finally received papers showing that the truck had been turned in and "0" was owing.
CARL HIt took this location over 24 hours to process the return to the point that u Haul customer service had to call me
Morgan VPut a better system in place when picking up the trucks, make sure the maintenance on the trucks are up to date ( the truck I had, the breaks where bad, and the tire was going flat), and make sure the person before u or the pick up location has enough gas to even pull out... This was the worse Uhaul pick up location I have ever been to! I'll use Budget or Penske next time if I need to move again.
