The location was disgusting and the truck was dirty and reeked of cigarette smoke. HOWEVER, the attendant was extremely helpful and took the time to make necessary changes to ensure I was getting the proper contract.

Good customer service and quick check in/out .Vehicle was clean but smelled like someone had moved animals previously. Maybe some air refresher would help. Will definitely go back.

This was a terrible experience: - My vehicle was not ready, I reserved it for 1:30pm, and didn't get on the road until 3:30pm - The app did not work, so the attendant at the location had to come all the way in on his own time to set me up, costing me about 30 minutes. - My reserved vehicle did not show up on the app - I was told I had to come into the office on monday to deal with paperwork after returning the vehicle saturday night - The location was closed (!!) when I when there monday, and had to walk to the other Barrie location and back home (1.5 hours!), only to find out from the other location I didn't have to actually come in. What a waste of my time. - The vehicle I was given was a much larger vehicle class than I needed, so I had to spend more on fuel. - Absolutely terrible upper management organization, whoever runs the Barrie locations, and whoever oversaw and cheaped out on the uhaul app should be fired.

Had a cargo trailer reserved at another location but when I went to pick it up the cable for the lights was cut off and therefore the trailer was unusable. Was sent to this location as a solution. The trailer at this location had the cable but one of the tail lights was out. When I asked the taillight to be fixed before I drove off with the trailer, my request was refused because this was "not part" of the employees job. Perhaps if uhaul employees actually inspected and repaired their equipment when it's returned I wouldn't have spent an hour picking up a reserved trailer that should have been ready to go for my pick up time.

We arrived at 9am after being told the night before that the office did not open any earlier & there would be no way to pick up the truck before then unless we paid for an extra day. At 9:10am, we called the number as there was no one there & the office was not open. Once the person arrived all the paperwork was incorrect, there was a message on the computer saying that my Visa card was declined, so he had to start the whole process over again using the same Visa card that was entered incorrect the first time around. Very dissapointed in this location & definately would not recommend it to anyone.

A better walk around to mark damage needs do be corrected, all damage whether scratches or other need to be listed even on rentals that are being rented with extra insurance. The walk around with the manager had some damage with stickers and some damage without stickers and only a verbal acknowledgment was taken prior to leaving with the rental. I was fortunate that the manager was still at the shop when I arrived a few hrs later and verified no new damage happened upon returning the vehicle. If I was not honest or the manager was not honest this can bring about problems especially if left after hrs. I arrived at the Byrne Dr. store where a 15ft van was supposed to be and then was told one was at the location I finally did rent from.

-Difficult location to get in/out of -Obviously no inspection done on equipment - some lights weren't working, coupling mechanism almost seized - had to rectify myself, surge/pulse brakes were an issue from the start, roll-up door operation very difficult - jammed halfway up

Bad experience, Service rep did not ask me but told me he charged for safe move. I told him I didn't want it, after ten minutes of waiting while he clicked on the computer he told me he didn't know how to take it off and it would be done when final bill was done. He did not do a walk around of the vehicle with me. He said bring it back with gas needle at same position. Was not told about environmental fee. So now im charged $32.97 for gas for travelling 15 M. There is no way they put any extra gas in as the needle was in the same position. Now the real kick in the pants is the cleaning charge. I may have left a coffe cup in the holder, but i really dobt think I left even that behind. That truck was CLEAN. I moved a patio door wrapped in a blanket. It was not muddy that day. The truck was clean. I was charged another $28.50 for that!! The delay of this complaint is the result of the service rep not typing my email correctly into the system.. I had to go down and get a copy after my credit card bill came in. When i disputed the charges all i got from the present supervisor was that some people from this location have moved to a different location and i should go the and talk to them. This is my first step in trying to get a refund of bogus charges. Please respond.

called me the night before my move telling me my 17 ft truck was booked, after i already paid. had to move my time from 8:30am to 12pm. ended up getting a 15 ft truck at 10;45 a.m. so un-organized. non professional. Was my first time using U-Haual aswel.

The truck was dirty, there was garbage leftovers in cabin, very unfriendly location, tight space, no parking available to leave your personal car there for the duration of rental period. Will never rent from this location again.

Terrible owner. As a womanI requested assistance putting the hitch on. He didn't respond and ended up leaving me there. His poor receptionist did not know what to do. She checked our lights. There was no safety or preinspection done on the trailer. Well the trailer unhitched enroute. It could have been a disaster. What a shame. I will never rent from that place again. Shame on that man.
