The Uhaul was older and I had it loaded and it started making a screeching sound. I had to drop back by the pickup place and tell them, hey it’s making a horrible sound and I’m driving an hour away into an area with NO cell service and I’m worried it’s going to break down. They called the Uhaul mechanic who came out and looked at it. Told me that it had came from another Uhaul lot, and he had worked on it many times before, that did not reassure me. All he done was revved the engine real hard, because he said it was the belt squeaking. It made the noise stop… for a moment. It squealed all the way to where I was going. The truck had no power, even if I used tow/haul or not. Didn’t make a difference. On the trip back, NOT LOADED mind you, it started making a ticking noise also. Not a good experience.
