Ensure all supplies that are booked are in vehicle. I booked truck and several dollies. Left store, got to first location, and realized the dollies were not present. Had to return to store to get the dollies, but store was empty of staff. I called out, no response. I called phone, and got bumped to another location. Finally after talking on phone for a few minutes the staff at the location I was at came from out back. Fortunately they discounted my mileage to compensate for inconvenience.

Moved from Halifax to Montreal. Staff was very helpful. The manager (Jennifer) recommended the larger car trailer, (Auto transporter) and did all of the car/trailer hookup for us on the day we moved. I highly recommend the Auto transporter and 20 foot truck, driving this combination for 1600km was almost a pleasure. Truck averaged 8.4 MPG (28 L/100km) during the 1600km drive, and cost us under $400 in gas. Generally we were quite comfortable driving around 100km/h to 110km/h, although cresting the larger hills it would drop to 70-80km/h.



I rented a unit for storage of my furniture after the sale of my home because we were out of province. I tried to retrieve some of my belongings because I started a new job in Halifax and needed a mattress for my husband and I at our rental home. We got to the unit and there was a red lock and notice on the unit stating it was not paid for. I called the uhaul number and took more ham an hour to explain to 3 different people that my family and I needed to gain entry to our unit in order to go to bed that night. My account was finally paid and the overdue notice was an error. The manager for the unit took so long to get back to us that we had to get a hotel room for all of us because our beds stored in the unit were unavailable. We are on a right budget and did not expect this disaster. I was told by the manager Jennifer that the red lock and notice were there in error and would be removed immediately. One week later when we arrived at the unit, the lock and notice were still there. I called the manager and demanded that it be removed. We took all of our belongings. I DO NOT TRUAT UHAUL FOR THE STORAGE OF MY BELONGINGS. I would highly recommend that anyone use any other company. I had hired help from uhaul for moving out of my house and into the unit in the beginning of September. Two young teenage boys arrived to help us love. They were not prepared to do the work. Both constantly complained about not eating or drinking before they came. They damaged the walls of my home using inappropriate shortcuts to move the furniture. They were not movers I would ever tecommend. My whole experience with uhaul was extremely unpleasant and I am reporting this location to the better business bureau.

We were charged .59 per km when we were quoted .49 per km. The lady was unsure how to change it in the system so we ended up paying .59 per km because we were in a hurry. We were also charged a fee over $10 that the lady had to remove and she wasn't sure why we were going to be charged that. All of this came about because we were quoted less for more mileage and we knew something was not right when this was the case.

The physical location is not readily accessible. Nice facility however. Good service. I did not like the fact that the gas tank was less than 1/2 full! There should have been enough for a round trip to my destination!

We waited a while for a representative to come to the desk at pick up. There was another customer waiting as well. No way to let rep know we were there. A bell or open door buzzer would be easy solution.

They change my pick up location without telling me. Put a complaint and their response, we are happy that you got your truck 15 min prior to your time. Yes because I went there 45 min earlier and spend 1/2 hour on the phone without getting any excuse.

The hand truck and blankets, which I didn't order, are in the way.



I was given a truck that needed maintenance, after leaving the pickup location I was unable to bring it up to speed on the highway due to extremely violent shaking. I called the pickup location and mentioned the problems, they let me return and exchange the truck. However, the employee barely took me seriously, they kept dismissing anything I said about problems with the truck, telling me "its a big truck, it doesn't ride like a new Mercedes", and "I can exchange your truck but any other truck probably handles the same". When I directly said "I am really worried something will break on that truck" your employee responded by assuring me that "oh, you wouldn't have to pay for it, because you bought the insurance". To clarify - I tried to show concern about your vehicle breaking, possibly at high speeds and causing a loss of life, but the response I get is about money!? I am slightly upset that I was given a faulty vehicle that could have endangered lives. However, I am utterly disgusted at how little you cared about the maintenance of your vehicles or the safety of your customers!
