I originally was assigned to another location, they weren't open when I was scheduled to pickup my truck. Very frustrating as I signed up for the mobile check-in. The team at this location quickly got a truck ready for me and helped me be ready for my movers who arrived at 8am

Better communication: once i was given keys for the equipment the serviceman walked away, yet the driveway was blocked. He did not give directions for how to go around. That would have been helpful.

The young gal checking me in was a mediocre customer service person. Flat affect, did not read that I had blankets reserved and therefore did not get the blankets for me. Had to drive again across town to pick up the blankets. The van windshield was dirty, as were the mirrors. Clearly had not been washed. I'd only recommend Uhaul because I do not know where the other company is located.

I rented a hand truck that should not have been available. The platform was bent upward so that when I placed a heavy box on it, the cast iron handle fell forward and slammed into my head with enormous force. Although I avoided a concussion ( yes, it was that hard) I had a large bruise and now I am addressing neck issues. I told the young woman at the return desk about this problem with the hand truck , although I don't know if she took me seriously. Please check this equipment before it is handed out to the public. Thank you.

we were told that we did not qualify for the one month free storage space rental because there was not 4 of the same size space open at the time we rented the spaces. this was not told to us at the time of rental.

Was very surprised to learn upon arrival that I couldn't park my car at U Haul. I returned to the side street where directed to park and had a flat tire. Fortunately I was not alone and it wasn't dark yet, but it was a fairly deserted place and I would have felt quite unsafe.

I was guaranteed one rate online, and when I got there i was given a different rate. After calling the call center in Seattle and being transferred to three employees my rate was still not honored. Customer service is definitely not the priority

We paid for Safe Move insurance and initially 24 hours for use of a 20' truck on 09/28/17 at 11:30(ish) A.M. When speaking with the U-Haul representative, we advised we would be paying with a different form of payment when returning the truck. The representative assured us that this was perfectly fine, and that the card used for the reservation is simply used initially as a hold, and that we could absolutely pay with a different form of payment when the truck was returned, as this is when the payment is processed. We then called the next morning on the 29th and requested an additional 24 hours. We were advised that this was fine, and that we would (ONLY!) be charged another $39.95 (plus mileage of course.) Upon returning the truck, we were surprised to learn that we were charged an additional $14 for the Safe Move insurance, AND the card used for the hold was in fact processed for the first day without our knowledge, betraying what we were told. Objecting to the additional $14, we were told that it was in our contract, and that it is automatically included if another day is added. In reviewing the fine print, this was not corroborated, nor could the representative locate the verbiage stating this detail. Inquiring about the charge to the credit card used for the reservation, we were told "that's just how it works," also betraying what we were told. The manager, Dan, also could not locate the verbiage stating the additional "automatic" inclusion of another insurance fee. Regarding the charge for the first day, Dan and his staff indicated that each day is charged separately. This too, was not able to be substantiated by any documentation. We also discovered an additional $60 "mystery" charge to the credit card used as a hold for the first day. Dan advised it's "probably" just a hold for the second day. Dan and his staff refused to make any of this right, by way of crediting the additional $14 charge, or by voiding the first day charge to allow us to pay with an alternate payment method, despite numerous pleas (including thorough explanations regarding timelines, assurances, and conversations,) showing absolutely zero interest in rectifying any aspect of the situation. This was all met by only deliberately and firmly cementing an unpleasant customer experience. Dan advised our only recourse was to file a customer objection, which he apparently (or supposedly) sent in via his terminal. Dan also indicated that the person we spoke with, (that advised we would only incur another $39.95 for another day plus mileage,) was at a U-Haul call center, and not one of his employees. However, the first representative we spoke with at the register when returning the truck, seemed to suspiciously have a very similar voice to whom we spoke with on the phone. This could very likely be a coincidence, but unfortunately all trust had been eroded by this point. We will need to review further, but it appears we may have been overcharged

have a place were customers can park!!! when i was at the check out window the lady that helped me wash giving me excuses why i had to wait. one excuse was she was not scheduled to open the store which that is not something i care about or want to here. the second thing that got me very upset was she treated me like i had no reservation, which i had booked this truck on line. the third thing that put me over the edge was. there is a sign that says no customer parking available. make other customer parking arrangements. when i ask the other coworker where to park he said to park at walmart which is two to three blocks away or across the street at the deli. how can u-haul one of the biggest companies that rents trucks. not have customer parking! I will NEVER use u-haul again!!!!

I always prefer this location. I use it for personal needs as well as my company's needs. Excellent staff- friendly and ready to help. Other locations in Bellingham are not as helpful.

I waited in line for 15 minutes never even acknowledged. One girl working at desk she was talking to the customer in front of me about a complaint. I was told the van I was renting had a full tank of gas and it didn't not even close to full. The guy outside pulled up the van and walked away no contact or communication we were just left there. I pulled away and my passenger took a picture of the fuel tank and immediately called customer service. The customer service lady on phone was wonderful and marked everything done for us and we offered to email her the picture. She was so wonderful and helpful. When I returned the guy outside ignored me so I went inside only to get sent back outside the guy who ignored me told me I had it wrong about the gas he asked to see my picture I showed him he said he needed to talk to someone about it named Rachel? he left and went inside and when he came back out he said he was going to show me something but to forget it as I wont be charged for the gas. I will not be back to rent he made me feel as if I did something wrong and I was lying about something as he even told me I had it wrong. I didn't do anything but try to honestly rent a van the gas was closer to 3/4 than full. I did not feel it was fair for me to put in gas that wasn't there originally when we left the lot.

I have no complaints with the Bellingham store. I am very unhappy with the UHaul reservation system. VERY unhappy. I made a reservation at the Shoreline, WA store expecting to pick up the truck there when they open at 7 AM. I got an email confirmation of the reservation the day BEFORE I was to pick up the truck telling me that it would be available at the Woodinville store at 10 AM. This would have been extremely inconvenient. Fortunately when I called the reservation line I was helped by Meranda (I hope that is spelled correctly. She helped me set up the reservation in Bellingham which required a 90 mile drive to get there. But I was able to combine that with some other business. She should be commended for her efforts. Thank you.

We only went 10 miles. We were told we had to bring it back with the same amount of gas. When adding gas the needle did not move. Whenwegotitbackto uhaul we were told we added to much gas. We put 5gallons when we only needed to add one gallon. I think I need 10.00 refunded!!!

Location was very busy, long lines when I went. I was due a $60 credit and the agent wasn't able to see if it was applied to my bill or not. Not his fault, but UHaul headquarters should give better visibility for him into the billing system.
