The truck was filthy inside and out. Cup holders sticky and very dirty. Outside of truck had bugs and dirt. Inside the cargo area had a cockroach, for heaven’s sake, and was extremely dirty on the floor. The shift column lever had at least 2” of play and the transmission was misbehaving. Very poorly maintained vehicle. THEN I was charged $15 for insurance when I had said no to that option and a random $5 fee for some other nonsense. This was at Mac’s Hardware, Bismarck, ND, the pick up point. They handled things so badly, I wouldn’t buy a bolt from them in the future. When I called U-Haul I was told it’s the responsibility of the dealer. Dealer said it’s Uhaul.

Ross JThe truck I rented has a major gas tank leak at the 3/4 level. The leak was previously patched with something like RTV silicon, but that is failing. U-Haul needs to get this truck repaired ASAP.
