We rented a truck and cargo trailer at the same time, both to be dropped off at another UHaul location. The morning of drop-off we received a text to drop the trailer at one location, and the truck at a completely different location. Had to call the 800 number to get clarification, and arrange for both items to be returned at one location. Once the equipment has been rented, return locations should not be changed without a phone call.

This was not our original drop-off location chosen when we booked the truck online. We received a text the morning of drop-off to take to this location. I would have preferred no change in drop-off location or at the very least a phone call to ask us to change drop location, rather than a text stating a drop-off location that we had not planned for.

When I heard the trailer would be at this location, my response was "Great, they try to gouge you there." That was my experience last time. I reserved it for my father-in-law and was at work so it was limited what I could do. Later he said that they said the cost was $50 per day instead of $35 per day for a utility trailer with ramp. He said he would get the other then. They said since it was already hooked up, they would leave it. I checked the website and my confirmation e-mail later and it said the utility trailer with ramp is what was reserved. They also said he had the wrong hitch and would have to buy a new one. He said he had to get on the road so he was stuck so he bought it. I am sure this is what they are going by. It is the same hitch I have used with uhaul trailers for nearly 20 years. They said it needed a 5000# hitch and it was only 3500#. I looked later and their website says 3500# is the minimum requirement, so that would be fine, but I was sure I only have 5000# hitches. I just looked and the ball and hitch are both rated at 5000# stamped right on it. I am contemplating a complaint with the BBB as I believe this is their typical business practice as it mirrored my last experience with them. For now, I am just completing this review.

My only suggestion is that you send the customers refund to their credit card a little faster!

The personnel at the pick up location were great! very helpful, very efficient. The area for improvement is the call center attempting to take the reservation. This was a poor experience and the knowledge of the representative was horrible.

The check-out process took a very long time due to computer issues. I don't believe this was an issue with the location but rather corporate servers.

The individual that helped me when I picked up the U-Haul was very unpersonable. He said the truck had 3/4 of a tank, but it was really between 1/2 and 3/4. So I had to pay more to bring it back. Also had to wait about 30 min. for them to get the Uhaul for me. I wasn't very impressed.

The person checking in the vehicle could use some customer service orientation. There was little indication what I was supposed to do and what the process was. There was not greeting and the person was gruff. The person behind the counter was delightful and helpful and very enjoyable to talk with as we completed the check-in process. She provided some great tips on the next rental we needed to make in a week.

Ryan truly cares about customer service. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was right before sending me in muy way with one off uhauls trailers. Even though there are closer locations to me, I have gone and will continue to go to this location. It is the best in the valley.

You can start by paying the overdraft fee that my bank charged me. The employee at the store said it was just to have on file. I told him I was paying cash and he said no problem. The truck was a huge of crap and shut down on me. I only drove it about 40 miles and used 40$ in fuel. It was dirty inside and out and had to wash the windows to just drive it. Then your clerk said it was old and junk and needed to retire it. I need to rent two 28 ft trucks in 3 weeks and I'm looking else where for the equipment.

Although the van was clean, I experienced stalling during my moving experience. The van had an electronic "6-speed" manual shift the seemed to be malfunctioning. I had to pull over six or more times, turn off the engine, wait 5 minutes, then restart the van before I could continue driving. The engine, although running, no longer seemed to be proving power to the transmission. The engine service light would appear before each episode and the anti-skid light also appeared. When this occurred, I noticed that I generally had previously down-shifted two or three times . Also, it is advisable for the U-Haul staff to review the shifting and driving features of the van with the driver before he or she leaves the lot. This practice could save the transmission! Other than the above, I generally have had a very positive experience renting from U-Haul. Thank you

When I made pick up arrangements, they set up a FIVE day rental. I questioned this saying I only needed THREE days at the most. I was told not to worry that an adjustment to my bill would be made for an EARLY return. At drop off I learned that there would NOT be and a reduction in charges.

Drove uhaul for 1900 miles. After first 200 miles the gear shift cable fell off the connection on the transmission. Every time I stopped would have to clime under vehicle and reconnect to shift to park and back to drive. Informed uhaul employee at drop off and all I was told was "sorry". Was very inconvenient. Was charged for 2000 miles and did not drive 2000 miles. Drove between 1800 and 1900 miles.

I submitted all my information online, spoke to a person on the phone and confirmed my dates and times, and when it was transferred to the location, the pickup time was incorrect, and so was the drop off date. not sure where the disconnect happened, but this is the second time.
