This is going to be a long summary of the last two weeks that I dealt with U-Haul The first reservation that I made was for the weekend before Labor Day upon arrival to the U-Haul location, I was greeted by nobody because there was nobody at that location for the day a little kiosk lit up when I got there, and he realized very quickly that I was not gonna be able to take a vehicle at that time due to the fact that somebody had to hook the vehicle to the trailer for me to be able to take it! The kiosk person did reach out to another location to send somebody to the location I was at at! The only problem was the closest person was about 45 minutes away. I was told 15 minutes, but that was not the case. By the time he arrived the person I was supposed to meet to grab the motorcycle I have purchased was not able to be home. She was kind of upset, but understanding due to the fact that it was out of my control. Then comes Labor Day weekend and I will say I was a half hour late to the appointment, but I did call the location and let them know. He said that’s absolutely fine. Ask me for my estimated ETA. I let him know that I’ll be there at 12 o’clock instead of 1130 when I arrived that gentleman that I spoke with was at lunch and did not show up there until about 15 minutes after I did. That was fine no big deal. The issue came when they went to charge me for the U-Haul he told me my card was declined twice so I gave him another credit card number that I had on me which he ran but then when I checked my account my account I’ve been charged three times for that U-Haul trailer, also the gentleman I was working with at that location had only been employed with you for about four months as he let me know, and he explained that the training that he has gotten has not been very good and he is not very happy with how things are ran with your company! I thought this was very unprofessional, but given the situation, I was looking past it and just wanted my 10ft truck and 5x9 motorcycle trailer! The next issue began as he went to get my vehicle and pulled up the trailer at that location had been damaged, but not reported even though I’m sure you guys are checking them in so I’m not sure how that happened but the hitch that goes over the ball was bent and did not allow the screw to screw in and lock, so I was not able to take the trailer at that time which then I had to do another transaction to refund the trailer to me from that location rebuild me for another $166 dollars This is where it gets good I get into the truck which is this is documented by your U-Haul employee and me. The service engine soon light was on the maintenance light was on oil pressure was low and miles till needed. Changed was at 0%. I immediately put the truck in park walked back into U-Haul. Let the employee know he came out, looked at it took a picture of the dash and said I don’t have time to deal with it, but you can call roadside if it breaks down and told me to proceed on. The U-Haul place that had the bike trailer that I needed was 45 minutes in the wrong direction and when I arrive there they had the trailer nothing was wrong with that. I did tell them about the U-Haul problems I was having and he said there was nothing you could do about it given the fact it was from a different location. I then called your customer. Service line explained the situation of the truck current status. They asked me to have roadside assist me giving me a phone number to call but I was driving on the highway so I was unable to write it down and I was never able to remember what that number was but the truck was running fine at that time so I just kept rolling. Then, when I was about 4 miles from home, the truck was overheating. The engine light was blinking and other things on the little digital screen on the dashboard below thermometer was saying all kinds of maintenance things needed to be done and a service vehicle soon. When I got off the highway, the truck seemed to be having issues just stay running, not allowing me to fully stop the truck because if I let off the accelerator to hit the brakes, the vehicle would almost stall out and then called customer service again. They connect me directly to roadside. I will say your roadside assistance group is very good. They kept me up-to-date with every step of their process even when they had to leave the trailer in my driveway. They were back within 15 minutes to pick it up and take it to your service center. They were awesome. I completely respect what they do and I would definitely recommend that part of U-Haul to anybody, but hopefully you don’t have this happen all the time. That being said, I would just like a phone call from somebody in upper management and at least an apology or maybe a gift card for the inconvenience that I was caused the motorcycle that I picked up there’s only 26 ever made in the United States. It’s a very rare expensive motorcycle And if I would’ve had to drop the trailer, I would of very unhappy to have to leave that on the side of the road, I actually wouldn’t have! I probably would push it home at that point because I was so frustrated with how I was treated by your U-Haul employees.

I was charged a very high amount to rent this truck. I asked for a dolly and equipment to go around my TV and it was not in the truck then it tried to charge me more money after I paid for the deposit. I was not happy with the process and how I was charged for something I was not able to use.
