KATHERINE DThere was garbage in the van and the check oil soon promt showed on the odometer so I was unable to keep track of my mileage. It was a very disappointing experience.

MANAN PDear U-Haul Customer Service, I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing and unsafe experience with a U-Haul truck I recently rented. The truck I was provided had practically bald tires, which made it hazardous to drive—especially in winter conditions. There were no snow tires installed on the vehicle. As a result, the truck became stuck in a smallest pile of snow in Hamilton. It took me approximately four hours to finally get the truck unstuck and drive back, causing significant delay, stress, and inconvenience. During this situation, I contacted U-Haul roadside assistance for help. I was quoted $450.00 simply to have the truck pulled, despite the issue being clearly related to the unsafe condition of the tires provided on the vehicle. This was extremely frustrating, as the problem was not caused by misuse on my part, but by inadequate and unsafe equipment. I am very disappointed with this overall experience. Renting a vehicle with bald tires—without snow tires in winter conditions—poses a serious safety risk and should never occur. The time lost, the stress involved, and the lack of reasonable support reflect poorly on U-Haul’s service standards. I had to call and pay the third party company who helped me to pull the truck and they were totally shocked to see the tires of the UHaul Truck. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate compensation be provided for the inconvenience, time lost, and unsafe condition of the vehicle. I would also appreciate confirmation of what steps will be taken to prevent this from happening to other customers. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Richard Carvalho
