Generally the staff here did a great job dealing with the fact that my rental got switched to them 1 "business hour" before an overnight pickup...including stuffing my purchased supplies in the locked cab. Only thing that wasn't smooth was that rented dolly and furniture carpets were not in truck at (before hours) pickup. Fortunately, a staff member was on-site early and put them in the truck, no questions asked.

Uhaul is horrible, and they keep hiring unprofessionals and rude staffs. Who ever is in charge of reviews if you could do me a favour by replying on here from the general manager micky at the bronx location cos he's awful. He had me calling back every 30minutes to an hour from 11am till now 5pm to speak with me him and he refused to me and now the location is forwarding my calls to another location. Is this a business or a playground? I want to speak to mick, that's very unprofessional of you, why are there if you can't attend to your customers? You are not doing your job at all

I was sent to three places for drop off before arriving here. All of them were “full”. Comunication was not established between places to make sure there was space on the next place!! In general i would NOT recommend u-haul to a friend!

They charge me $25 plus tax because i left a plastic bag on the truck.that too much



I was a little taken aback by the attitude of the customer service rep at the desk. I understand that I was late. And my reservation had been cancelled. However, being chastised LOUDLY was NOT what I was expecting. And being that you had a parking lot FULL of vans, her attitude was NOT warranted. Being that I rent maybe twice a month from this location, I would expect better customer service.

Overall the experience was good EXCEPT when you need to speak to someone your phone calls seem to go unanswered I had what I thought was a simple question needed to confirm I called during regular hours and must have been on hold for 30+ minutes and still never got to speak to anyone that was my only disappointment.

I had multiple issues with the arrangements I made to reserve a truck yesterday. I had originally scheduled a truck to be available 7/1 at 8 am for 12 hours. It was reserved at the Chelsea location and changed to Grand Concourse as I was informed the day before it was no longer available there. I was told by the representative, Carey I would be able to use the U-Haul smart app on my phone to pick up truck without having to see anyone of the attendants at the location. When I arrived yesterday at 8 am the equipment was not ready and I was told I would have to wait till 9, when the location opened to pick up my vehicle. I was told by the completely unprofessional representative that helped me with my reservation that the location only reserves for 8 hrs and I had to bring the truck back at 5. I said I had made arrangements to have the truck for 12 hours and she said I’m going to make a note that you will not return by 5 and you will be charged if someone else has a reservation at that time. Turns out the location closes at 5 so I can’t imagine there would be anyone reserving at that time. I was also charged for gas as the contract I received for vehicle did not have the correct amount of gas that was in the tank. It had 1/4 of a tank at pick up which was indicted and initialed by the attendant not 1/2 that was on contract. Lastly and most importantly I couldn’t finish my move because I rushed back to return the truck by 5 as I didn't want to incur any late charges. I am not pleased with my moving experience with U-Haul. How can this be resolved? Look forward to getting your response. Thanks, Jonathan Kregsman

I made my reservation 2 1/2 month and had confirmation. The day before I wanted to check in and they did not have a truck and my tow was available at a location 2 hours away. We finally had to go to the Bronx where the confusion was even worse.
