I reserved my vehicle and requested and electronic or automated checkout. Upon going through the automated check-out procedure, I was assigned a vehicle that was on the lift and was told by Elber the yard person that the van on the street have to be assigned first and refused to give me the vehicle I was initially assigned and told me to go inside to the counter to be assigned a different vehicle, I explained that the line for counter service was almost out the door and the reason why I requested an automated checkout was because I wanted to avoid having to visit the counter, which is normally very crowded on a Saturday mornings. Long story short, he serviced other customers and left me standing there. I was finally able to have the automated service select a vehicle that he approved of, after serving another customer he decided to move the one van that was blocking get the key to my van and allow me to leave. My interaction with the Elber fell well short of what my expectations are for U-haul. As a business owner I rent your vehicles on a regular basis and can’t under why he made this transaction such and unpleasant and time consuming experience for me. Keep up the good work



The sales team inside were very rude and unprofessional. I wanted to changes my contact into a one way because I wasn't going to be able to drop it off in the dame location but no one wanted to help me, they kept transferring me to different people over the phone. I was willing to pay the extra fee but they said that it can't be done at all with no reasonable explanation. It's the same company I don't understand why I couldn't drop off in a different location that carry the same vehicle. I had a really bad experience and will not be using this company again.

The mileage on the vechiles are not the mileage in the system and I got charge two extra miles when I had the dispatcher review the form and sign off the mileage was incorrect

I rented the truck Thinking that I could keep for 2 or 3 days I explained my situation to the guy that helped me out guetting the information before I rented the tuck and I was never told I couldn’t keep it for more than 1 day .they kept calling me and harassing me to bring the truck back every si glen day even tho I was going to pay for the days and mileage as I explained to was my first time renting an U-Haul and my last even the manager called me as if I was going to keep the truck I went to the office and told them the situation and that the truck was in good hands.very bad experience I will never rent an U-Haul I also told a couple of friends and family tlmy experience not to rent U-Haul

You will need to fix the computer or Internet because it was down and on and down again what a weak internet for a company such as big as you are it should have the best internet service the workers was excellent what they can't do nothing about it because the computer was down so we have to wait at least one hour

Improve customer service and have more showroom people available to get the customers what they need at a faster pace. The worker was very disgruntle and annoyed at working alone and she expressed it loudly with 6 customers in line. Very unprofessional and I felt like I was interrupting her time.

There should be a better system for parking the U-Hauls. Customers are forced to park them on the street at night in the middle of the South Bronx.

I let the attendant know about the truck I drove. The front brakes starting making a metal sound. I think it was the warning tabs on the brake pads rubbing on the rotor stating that its time for a brake job. I saw him pull it to the side away from the other trucks to have this issue resolved. Overall was pleased with the equipment and services.

Make the process clearer. Explain that if I do express pick up online, that I still have to wait on line when I come in to the location. I wasn't expecting to spend 30 minutes there, which greatly impacted my timeline for the day. Also, clearly explain how to return your vehicle after hours. Myself and another gentleman were wandering around confused. It was difficult to find street parking or know where you could park legally after it was very late. It is my first time renting from u-haul, but would prefer a clearer process.
